I grew up in a musical family, so I can relate. My aunt and cousin played piano and organ. My mother played organ, my brother played organ, drums,keyboard. I played piano and guitar. My brother still plays drums and keyboard for the band he's in. My grandfather played musical saw, accordion and mouth organ. My grandmother played piano. My father wasn't musical, but he enjoyed listening to us. I always love to sing and was in my church choir.

Kid was born with it. Has nothing to do with parents. I know because neither of my parents are musical and I was born with perfect pitch, and an ability to find my way around scales, without being taught. Musical improvisation comes effortlessly to me, and will to said baby. Parents are just along for the wonderous ride. Makes it even more special. Not something that can be learned.
