Singing Live Sound Card and BM800 Suspension Microphone Kit: Wish Audio Product Review/Walkthrough

Yes, I feel a little ridiculous mentioning something could be a Halloween type effect when I'm releasing a non-halloween video on halloween. I did have a plan for a halloween video but life is hard and video is harder. Next year.
Seriously, to get all the of the details it made the video more than twice as long, so I decided to just concentrate on what you could actually do on it and am going to do a in depth look at the jankiness in an upcoming video.
There's plenty to laugh at, but for $40 this isn't the worst way to spend your money. Certainly isn't the best either.
I personally think the mic is a little crunchy and unforgiving, I'm tempted to try the soundcard with my own mic... if I ever get the urge to set it up again.

That microphone is so crispy and crunchy. KFC needs to hire the designers to start making chicken. You put a ton of time into this video, it looks and sounds great. Keep up the good work. I just bought one that's a copy of this from a company called "5 core". They're based in India but have a warehouse in Ohio. It was a podcasting bundle with a mic, arm, pop filter, wind screen, cables, and the same mixer for only $30 and free shipping. Not the best sounding, but still fun to play around with.

Can you help me? I recently bought this but when i record myself the voice isnt stable... it's like my voice fades in and out word after word.... ... can anyone help me out? Do I have to adjust any of the buttons on the souncard???

Assuming you are speaking directly into the microphone capsule appropriately then my next guess is that it sounds like the capacitors or something on it are faulty. And considering the general QC of wish this isn’t terribly surprising. From what I recall of this unit, there aren’t any controls that would really help with what you’re dealing with other than the volume knob.

It’s certainly a fun product, but it really depends on what you want it for. Like I said, the best thing it has going for it is that it’s cheap, I’ll be doing a follow up video with other impressions.

How have you set yours up? I can’t hear the audio through my earphones

I used a converter cable that was a headphone stereo jack to a dual mono quarter inch that then went into my audio interface. If I recall correctly the unit came with a cable that split the headphone and microphone outputs that you would send to your computer, I’d put your headphones into the headphone jack on that then use a 3.5mm male to male cable to send the microphone signal to your computer. But this was like a year ago, and I barely remember what they packed with it.

To record it you’d need a computer with the right software. Also a way to get the audio out into the computer, I used some converters and my presonus VSL, but you’ll likely have to generate a different solution considering my set up is a little old.

So I’m assuming because I purchased a startup, you don’t at all need to mention the software needed used to test to see how it sounds.. thank you for providing me the unboxing and the hardware but you know you’re educating BEGINNERS and you’re not AT ALL MENTIONING THE ONLY THING BEGINNERS ARE STRUGGLING WITH… PLUGGING IT INTO THE CPU AND USING IT… stop assuming we know our way around the software and actually teach us how to use this instead of buying cheap shit to teach beginners on a expert level cuz IF WE HAVE A BEGINNER SOUND CARD THEN STOP SKIPPING THE BASIC OF SOFWARE AS WELL…. Oh my word someone thinks I’m an influencer, this is the first time someone has called me an influencer. I used a presonus fire studio as my interface and took the output from there into it via some cable conversion into the preamp in on the fire studio. I use protools, but that would be overkill for 99% of people who would buy this. If you need to look up how to do this stuff I would look up something along the lines of “DAW’s for Beginners” and not rely on reviews of products to teach you the basics.
