Problem with singing extremely out of tune is that the farther you are from the correct note, the more distorted the end result will sound when pitch-corrected. Could you try singing just _slightly_ out of tune and see how good the end result sound after pitch correction? Just out of curiosity.

Ok so I've watched a couple of these "make horrible vocals better" videos of yours, actually really cool man. It has me wondering though: how far you can get away from good vocals before it gets mickey with a sock in his mouth? I mean each of your recordings have sounded much better, but I wouldn't call them actually good persay. So I'm wondering how far you can get from the good vocals before autotune and pitch shift and so on start having issues and creating that robot-y under layer.
