Ben lived in this role for 3 years...went through the workshops, the out of town pre-Broadway tryouts, and then on Broadway...he developed all the nervous mannerismsfor the character and they stayed with him for months after he left the show...he essentially had to "detox" after he left. I admire him the most out of my Broadway obsessions.

I would love that too however it all has to do with YTs Algorithm. I used to give ending statements in my videos but then my viewership would drop over 50% at that moment. When it does that then it tells KZbin that people watched less of my video and then they are less likely to promote it to new viewers. When I cut directly to the end of the video and then people are more likely to click on another one of my videos and that tells KZbin that people are enjoying my videos and that they should promote them more. Personally I wish that I could do what I want with my channel, however my channel is very small at this moment and it’s more important to spread the joy to more people ❤️ Blame YT ;)

First, amazing reaction and analysis. Nice done :-) Second, another place where this performance is aaaamazing, is the music. Look at the performance again, but close your eyes and listen. The music "carries" the character through the song. Especially towards the ending the drums picks up and "directs" the character, but it happens throughout the whole song. And, as others has pointed out, Ben portraits the effect of anxiety, and how a person could use the music as an advantage :-)

Yeah, I would suggest that if you're going to react to something you find out at least enough to understand what you are watching so you can do it justice and focus on what's important instead of wondering the whole time what or why. He's definitely performing as the character who has emotional and psychological problems. This is the character singing, not Ben. When he sings this as Ben he sounds much different. And in the play or movie this hits hard because you are hearing the song and lyrics from the point of view of an emotionally vulnerable person and you feel the meaning of the song to your core.
