after probably listening to many instrumentals... for like 6 months, I began not only to follow the invisible melody (lead vocal) but also follow the background vocals and melody, and it took me over 6 months more to learn to sing over the 2nd or 3d voices (background vocal), and create my own lead vocals (my version, alternate melody). My only deal now is to learn to sing properly, I always had trouble for speaking clearly even in Spanish (my native language) plus I think I was deaf tone but the first step was the hardest “learn the keys, chords, and learn to play by ear, whether it’s the lead vocals, the accompaniment to a song or just the notes to some instrumental part or guitar solos, it took me 2 years that. Now, it’s like my brains paired my ears with my voice, so following or humming is really easy now. It’s all about listening people.
