What do you think about running a corner with the Y in case the corner drives on the z quick screen

In this scheme, no because the 3 technique is left unblock and the QB wouldn't have time to throw the corner route. If you are facing a CB that is driving hard on the quick screen, then call "quick n' go" and have the Y stalk the CB before releasing vertical. This would be called with regular pass protection rules. Sometimes it may take a negative play throwing the quick screen to set up the block and go.

How would this one back power time up and be blocked differently from under center?

Coach, not sure power midline would work from under center. At least not to my knowledge. If you want to run something like that from under center then just make it zone midline and read the play side 3 technique.
