I'm pretty sure it is too loud. There are exhaust valves that can switch between a regular muffler and something else.

No they are not. You can have any exhaust in California as long as you don’t mess with your catalytic converter you’re good. Oh but if cops want to they can mess with you because of the volume of your exhaust.
