cheap mufflers that sound good $30 chambered vs $30 straight through 454 bbc

this is a comparison between 2 sets of cheap ebay stainless steel mufflers. a straight thru design vs a single chambered style. which is quieter? and which sounds better? the test was performed on my 1967 pontiac firebird with a mild built 454, it is the test mule. yes it has a chevy motor, if i had a 455 pontiac it would be in it. the best welded stainless cheap cherry bomb walker flowmaster magna flow thrush summit amazon dynomax flowtech m80 exhaust pipe comparison decible 1968 1969 camaro street drag car any review also

Those straight through glasspacks are just resonators, they just help with rasp barely any muffling going on

yes. they need to have pipe behind them. basically due nothing at the end. just like glasspacks when installed backwards.

Yeah pretty much, I went with a similar set of mufflers to tone my car down a bit. I'm not looking for anything drastic just a little bit less cop drawing attention.

id probably have it the other way around for better(?) scavenging. the most restrictive component should be close to the engine

That’s the loudest option total flow makes. One step quieter would be the single chamber/ flow master super 10 knock offs. Beautiful firebird

no but if you search on ebay for 2X Exhaust Muffler Resonator 3 Inch Inlet/Outlet 12" Long Stainless Steel Chrome similar ones should come up
