I have many issues with this. Especially after a certain age. In the US the women's stalls are not often fully enclosed. There are large gaps in between the doors AND at least a foot of space between the stall doors and the floor. I have had NUMEROUS times where a child's head has popped under the stall door. There are family restrooms thankfully but people still bring rambunctious little boys that they obviously haven't taught manners to into the ladies toilets.

@cheesecake72743 жыл бұрын
I do think this is a cultural issue, not the normal or abnormal thing. Where I'm from, that would be completely acceptable. But clearly here it is different, as most of the women agreed it would be bothersome. But I don't think you should assume that this is because they think the men's restroom is unsafe for the child. There could be many cultural explanations. It could be a cultural tendency to follow rules combined with it being rare for men to go out with their daughters alone, making this an uncommon situation in general. It could also be because of different attitudes to nudity around children, where men's urinals offer more exposure than women's stalls. There could be many explanations.

People keep bringing up about how China is looked at as a "mean" country and then they see these videos and are surprised... That's not the case really. They are like any other country, they will have their bad sides and biases that hold them back but what they do have that most western countries don't is a very big respect culture and I think that is what you see in most of these videos. They respect their elders, they respect the less fortunate and they have heavy national pride especially when seeing one of their own in pain. ... where they do fall short and westerners are a bit ahead of them is respecting ideas and lifestyles outside of the norm and advancing with the new generation. It's a push and pull situation with China in my opinion but they are on the right track.

Your observations are right on the dot especially "westerners are a bit ahead of them ........". However, I need to add my own perspective on this statement, it is a tussle for the Chinese people with their upbringing and historical perspective, eventually they will evolve their own acceptance in their own pace. Let us not judge each other as we are all part of Humanity. Diversity in thoughts is not own by anyone. They are not communist in ideology, LBGT and religious rights are allowed but not broadcast. I’m from Germany and I think here the rules for bathrooms aren’t as strict - if you see somebody’s with their child, they are free to use every bathroom. If a father is with his very young child, he can definitely go to the lady’s room, because often, only there you can find the option to properly change a diaper. The problem is not fathers taking care of their children, but society not giving them much room to do so 🙄🙈
@crepesoftime4 жыл бұрын
There should be changing tables in all the rooms but in many places it's just considered wrong for the adult to be in the opposite restroom, regardless. It's more socially acceptable for a little girl to be in the men's room than an adult man to be in the women's room. And the reverse, a little boy in the women's over a grown woman in the men's.

As I imagined people of china are soo kind and generous, but many times misjudged, may be cuz of how media works or the politics. It truly warms my heart when I watch treeman's videos it made me so happy that if I ever go there someone will surely help me❤️.

This made me remember one time me and my family were eating out at a restaurant, it was crowded that night and I remember I suddenly felt ill so I went to the bathroom. I ended up puking and started crying because my stomach hurt so bad, I was 7 or 8 at the time. Then I heard a woman from the next stall over calling out to me, asking if I was okay. I have horrible anxiety but in that moment her gentle kindness really soothed me, she asked if my mom was with me but I told her she was out in the restaurant and so she waited for me until I was able to gather myself and just kept talking with me. She ended up walking me back to the table I was at (another thing I really appreciated since it was so busy) I think she was a college student at the time and I never saw her again but that kindness always stuck with me, that she'd take the time to console a sick kid she didn't even know and go out of her way to make sure I got back to my family safely afterwards.

Rhis is why unisex restrooms/family restrooms are so important! The struggle single fathers must face daily is in surmountable. Especially good fathers who are just trying to raise their daughters right. Sending love to all the single parents out there just trying to do right by their families.

I saw a little girl go in to the ladies room while her dad stood outside. She looked like she was no more than 7, so being a mom of 2 little girls, I stood by to make sure she made it out safely. It’s no brainer to help whenever there’s a need.

My father is also a single parent. Even though we're not close, I think he's a good parent. He's not just a showy person like me. Even if he's scolding me and those words are painful, I understand how frustrated he is. He's raising his 2 daughters and I think it's too hard to be alone. He's a tough guy. I remember the answer he gave me when I ask him why he's still not finding someone so he can be happy... He answered "You're not yet finished with your study, how can I find a new wife?". I'm happy that he chose US but I want him to be happy. Now that I graduated and hopefully I'm going to study abroad with the help of scholarship, I'll do my best to help my family. -No one ask you say? But I'm happy to share. I love you guys!

One day I swear, I’m going to move to China, or maybe another stable country in Asia. These people are all so wonderful. I’ve been watching this account a lot over the years, and it makes me wish that America was like this. Sure, maybe we are the land of the free, but we most definitely aren’t the land of the kindness. :/ Thank you to all the good hearted people out there! 💜

Hey a Chinese girl here! I'm so glad you want to move to China but you'll have to work a lot in order to keep it up with the rest of the people! Chinese people are used to doing things really quickly so if you get any slower you will probably have a hard time but you can count on other people to help you! Chinese people are really good at teamwork and will help you if you need it!

I take my daughter with me into the bathroom. When she's old enough to use the bathroom on her own I'll let her go into a public women's restroom room. I can stand outside and wait for her to finish. It's not a big issue for me. I would feel uncomfortable leaving her in the hands of a complete stranger.
