Get a Dalmatian, they are the perfect breed to be around horses. When I was riding mine would come out hacking with me all the time and also you can try carriage dog trials

Get a cat, instead of a dog, a cat would fit better into your busy life and they are very independent.I have both and the cat is the easiest to housebreak. Just do what you need.
