If you use the reward traits you can make Chelsea beguiling so it doesn't take as long to get to the baby making. I use that and then I ask to just be friends so when they die my sim isn't usually sad. It saves a lot of time.

Sadly, ghost babies are impossible . The closest you can get is having a Sim get pregnant while it's alive with another living Sim, and then using a cheat to turn them into a ghost before they give birth. Then they give birth to a living Sim.
