Single Letters - Rapid Fire - 20wpm

The time is very short between the Morse code and hearing the answer spoken. This rapid-fire timing is geared to push your ICR (Instant Character Recognition) skills.
First, each letter is sent in Morse code. Then it is spoken. And finally, it sent again in Morse code. If you missed something the first time when it was sent, the second time allows you an opportunity to learn it. (More speeds below in the description.)

This is a great resource. I've downloaded all the lessons to my phone and play them back as I'm walking, driving, or shopping. I have one suggestion, though. It's a little hard to keep up with where I am in the playlist because of the file names. I used a simple Unix command to rename the files to put a sequence number at the start. It's easier for me to remember the lesson number than the filename when I go away and come back to it later. Perhaps a better player would let me bookmark my place, but I'm using VLC. This command works on Linux and WSL (for Windows): ls | gawk '{ printf "mv %s %03d-%s " $0, $NR, $0 }' | bash The output filenames are sequentially numbered like this for the first ones: 001-lesson_01a_introduce_letter_t-20wpm.m4a 002-lesson_02a_introduce_letter_a-20wpm.m4a 003-lesson_02b_character_repeat_3x_a-20wpm.m4a etc One more step is necessary. Media players like VLC may not display the filename, but rather the Title attribute in the EXIF metadata. It is necessary also to set the Title to the new sequential filename. This is easily done with the free exiftool program: exiftool -P -overwrite_original "-Title

Enjoying your wide variety of practice sequences. Here's one I don't think you have done (and I can't find anyone else doing it on KZbin either). I would really like it, even though it would drive me nuts at the same time. Can you make a series of videos like this one that repeat only one character for the entire time? For example, an exercise that just repeats the letter A for like a half hour. I get hung up remembering L and F, so while I wouldn't say it would be fun to listen to one of them exclusively for 30 minutes, concentrating on just one character for that long might burn it into my autonomic memory.

Greetings. I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying the practice sets. I may have something already that will work for you. If you go to the Morse Code Ninja Course ( morsecode.ninja/learn/index.html ), you will find an "Introduction" lesson for each character. If you go to the L and F Introduction videos, hold down the shift key, and right-click, you can select "Loop." That will play the short video indefinitely. Mixing up L and F is a common issue.
