Video hasn’t even fully came on and I’m tearing up. I’m a 21 year old single mom with two girls and this shit is really hard. On top of that trying to be a human, be a happy mom, and have a separate life and continue on with the pain of not being with their dad. It’s a lot. To all my other single moms, just know it’ll be better and easier one day… Love y’all. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you 🙏🏽❤️ I have 2 girls 22 and 9 and they are the most respectful young girls. I’ve never had a problem out of either and they’ve never been disrespectful to me or anything and my home is so peaceful. People that do come to my house which isn’t many because I’m very careful of that tell me how peaceful my home is so the negative comments mean nothing to me because being a single parent isn’t easy but it’s so rewarding. They teach me so much ❤️

Spent 7 years with my significant other only to become single before the baby even born. It’s hard because I tried by best all my adult life to avoid this and walked straight into it either way. It hurts because my pregnancy was so physically tough as I was hospitalized numerous times, gave birth alone, doing everything alone. A lot of comments on here bashing single moms. My sister is a single mom to one child. She was in a serious relationship, engaged to him. They were together for 3 yrs. Both worked hard, she worked up to 1 week before delivering the baby, doing 12 hr shifts. Only to find out that her man had been hiding a drug problem the whole time. Now, my sister was quite sheltered and naive and figured his mood swings were due to his job, her long hours away from home. Some of us wondered, but didn't say anything cause we didn't know for sure. To shorten the story a bit, she ended up leaving him with baby in tow. He doesn't see his daughter because all his money and focus is on drugs. My sister did try to help him and waited 2 yrs for him as she really loved him. She always welcomed him to visit their child as long as he wasn't high when he came over. He promised that poor kid for 3yrs every weekend and wouldn't show. I felt bad for my niece as it broke her heart everytime. I agree that children need a father, but in this case, my nieces father would have done more damage living with them as a drug addict. I don't see my sister as damaged goods. I see her as a hard working person and loving mom. She has never taken a hand out from the government and also manages to help look after our grandma. Any guy would be lucky to have her. My girlfriend and I have tried to set her up with friends, but she is happy living the way she does.

First of all I am not feminist in its crazy radical state as its positioned now.I belive that all women forst of all connect to their feminin cycles not trying to be man. I come from two parents home,I got married before had children. What I have learned that no "blame game" will ever win this argument. I never wanted to be single parent to my children. You see, there are "hiden predators" out there.Who look like charming, hard working,in community respected man.But once they "hook you" as family oriented and they close the private doors their mask falls. And then it happens.Abuse.Which is not hitting or anything outside world can see.Its deeply manipulative, filled with gaslighting, lies, cheeting, discard and cycle continues. So what options women in this situation have? I prioritised children wellbeing and applied for divorce. I am scared of rising kids by myself, hell yes.But I had no choise than step up my game ,wake up my "inner dragon" and protect the kids from someone who suppose to be "the protector".

Picking poorly is black women's #1 issue leading to single motherhood and turning out incarcerated or murdered male children.

For all you who are bashing single moms or commenting “ use condoms” etc etc you are nothing more than ungrateful to life. We single moms chose to give life to these kids, we chose to not kill, give up or in some cases throw our children in a dumpster! We decided with it without the dad and the world, that we’d bring these boys up to strong respectful men. Though sometimes life throws us some serious curve balls. While we working hard and late to put food on the table and a roof over their heads and clothing on their bodies, someone else is working hard to shove drugs into our babies hands and try to convince them that their true family is a gang. We must teach our children the word of God never think they are to young to know about drugs, sex, alcohol and gangs. You drill it in day and night no matter if they roll their eyes and you make sure you remind them how much you love them and what they are worth and why they are here. They see what you do, they know what you do because kids are very smart. So if you think dancing and drinking with the girls or having guys in and out of your life is t affecting them, damn sure it is. So you stay strong you show your worthiness, you are their pilot, don’t let that aircraft hit nose first onto ground. What we must do is instill gentleness from day one, but like everything in life, a sprinkle here and there. Tell them they never should fear anyone no matter how small or big they are. Tell them they can always say no if they want, because no is a strong word and silence is the power a weak person has. Yes yes yes put them in sports, piano, shit even ballet let them experience it all. ( you can’t afford it) there’s programs that will help you, have your kids do fundraisers for their stuff, with family, or friends even with your co-workers. Most if not all will support that. You can make and sell popcorn baggies, cookies, or banners for companies during your game. Go to your local park and put up a pop up tent and have sodas, waters and popcorn, chips and ask for donations for your favorite hobby. People always help if it’s for a good cause. You moms have a night in with your school moms, don’t be shy. Have them come over but a pizza or two and dust out the board games and movies, place photo albums out for them to view to get to imagine how your children enjoyed their time before they met each other. Take turns and help babysitting each others kids, help each other don’t bash each other. When you need food, you can get stuff from your local pantry or church. Remember God doesn’t let us die of hunger, look at the birds they don’t have hands, they always have food and water. Why wouldn’t we, we that have hands and feet and so many options. You can buy basics and so so many dishes with it. I always have these staples; rice, beans, peas, tuna, corn, tortillas, eggs, potatoes, tomatoes (canned or fresh) onions, garlic, salt, sugar, lemons, spaghetti, sauce, ketchup, butter, oil, milk, cheese, water, and bread. I make them potato salads, baked potatoes, rice, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, French toast, rice pudding, scrambled eggs, etc etc they and you will be fine. Don’t eat out it’s expensive and a waste of money. Do it as a treat once a week only. Have them cook with you so they appreciate the meal and time it takes to make. Have them do chores. Help them with homework and if you don’t know it, ( like my son said “ Sit with me support me just watch me it helps.” ) I thought telling them do your homework, going to conferences, making sure they didn’t miss school and helping them with project, your missing an assignment was enough. NO! They need ya next to them, refresh or learn something along them. You have the time even if you’re dead tired you have the strength and time. Sleep when it’s time to sleep, make use of the time you have with them. Spending time with them and gathering up special memories of a lifetime is a must, because you only have one chance and if you blow it for anyone else it’s never going to give you another chance. Take them to the zoo, beach, park road driving in towns you have not driven around in take silly pictures too. Take them to farms, petting zoos and to the dog pounds. Nourish their brains and heart. My boys are 19 and 14 they still hug me and walk with their arms around me and kiss me in front of people. They love going to get a pedi or mani with me, they even get their hair cut and eyebrows cleaned when I go. They don’t back down on any guy ( I’ve seen it ) but they respect people and they are loved everywhere. They’ve done some mistakes, close calls too, have had me stay up and worry and have made me cry or lose my temper, but we’re not perfect we are humans and anyone who is human must bleak with joy, cry with sadness, fear evil, etc etc because we are humans! Thankfully they are not gang related, or are drinking or using drugs , they are not hitting me, they respect God and know he is mighty. So ladies don’t give up, like I tell my kids every bad thing that happens to us weather it’s we lose our place, don’t have laundry money, gas money, etc etc we will be k because everything happens for a reason there’s always the bad side and good side in life and every bad thing that’s thrown out way is replaced with beautiful blessings afterwards be it in new people we meet, places, experiences and yes even moment in the future we will sigh n laugh about. You can do it don’t give up ladies and men be responsible- be ther for those boys they don’t just need, but they all wish they had a dad next to them.

Why don't you choose to keep your legs closed? Use birth control? Refuse sex until you get a wedding ring and get married? Refuse sex without the use of condoms? Your comment makes it seem like women are getting barebacked by force when we know that is far from the truth. If you choose to lay down unprotected and have a baby by a stranger or weird acting man that do not want you, you have serious issues and should raise your child while leaving that man and his resources alone. Having and raising children is not the end all and be all of life. There is so much more out there in the world that is way more exciting than raising children. If a man wants to settle down and raise children, fine, but he should not do so if it means he has to give up other things he really wants to do- if they are his kids, that's different, but no man has any obligation to raise kids that don't belong to him.

Lets start by addressing the elephant in the chat: Pregnancy CAN be prevented and we forget that! There is protection and if that doesn't work you have plan b, there's spermicide, birth control, etc. This is the problem! If a woman is against abortions knowing what risks come from sex, you should be doing everything in your power to make sure you don't get pregnant. Take proper precautions or stay abstinent! Stop having children because "I don't believe in abortions" or "oh it's my body and you can't tell me what to do with it". This is part of the problem as to why so many children are being raised fatherless and it some occasions parentless. Children should be brought in this world if both parents AGREE that are READY, and are secured in a loving/genuine/communicative relationship. Because at the end of the day, yes it's our bodies that bare children but are we forgetting that we SHARE this kid with someone else!? It's not just YOUR baby. It's a WE concept. And I've been realizing a lot of women who are choosing to keep a baby are based off of they're own( let's be honest) personal/selfish/temporary views and feelings, and really not thinking about the child being brought in the world and how PERMANENT this new life is that you will have to take care of and raise! At some point this conversation has to be had. We women have to start taking responsibility in acknowledging that we are CHOOSING to be a single mother knowing the other parent was NOT ready. Mothers you CAN NOT get mad if the man is inconsistent/not present in the child's life, if yall both DID NOT AGREE to have that commitment. It takes two to tango not one! So if you knew he wasn't MORALLY ready to be RESPONSIBLE and MATURE to raise a child, then it's our fault ladies, I'm sorry. Idc how bad you want a baby, you are setting your child's life up on a 1 sided foundation the moment you choose to keep a child knowing the other parent doesn't agree to it. You have to choose the rational choice for both you and the child. Not just yourself. Women aren't asking real REFLECTIVE life changing questions to themselves, like "Am I making the right choice for my child or just myself?" "Am I making a choice off of temporary feelings?" "How will my choice effect my child later?" "Am i really ready?" "How do I want my child to be raised?" "What foundation do I want our child to be produced from?" Etc.. This is why I can't always blame the man. If a woman is mentally, physically, financially, emotionally, spiritually ready to bring new life into this world on her own terms, but isn't solidified in a secured relationship, there's always the choice to go to a sperm bank and not deal with the stressful baby daddy drama/co parenting/child support issues! There are choices ladies! That way it's on the mothers own accord because she knows what the pros and cons are and willing to accept that choice. Because I get it as a woman(Nursery school teacher), we all have our bio clocks ticking and baby fever and want to have someone to call our own who we know will love us always. But there's a safe, unselfish, and rational way to do that.

Women at the end of the day hold power in if a baby is brought in this world, and I don't think its fair. Yes I am a woman, and it is my body, but I didn't make it alone. 1st Take: "My advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. In other words, she is no longer able to have emotional attachment in a healthy or committed way. *The Rational Male Series* by Rollo Tomassi *The Manipulated Man* by Esther Vilar *Anatomy of Female Power* by Chinweizu Ibekwe *Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars: An Introductory Programing Manual* by Anonymous Isaiah 3:12 *Childish* leaders oppress my people, and *women* rule over them. Some women don’t want sting men like this because they can’t walking all over them. Some of these women prefer the illusion they are sold by a man at that moment because that is what felt good to them at the time. But a lot of boys grow up to be the man they are not just because their father isn’t around, but because of the example of what women allow when they start dating and bringing men home. If a boy witness momma bringing a man home that is knocking her down in the room and not doing anything else, momma just taught her son what to do when he get older that he can go to some woman’s house with her kids and knock her down because that is what he witnessed being done to his momma. Keep in mind some boys don’t stand up and do or be great to their woman because if his momma didn’t get it from her man she would be jealous with her son give another women what she didn’t have and there for sometimes don’t want her son to be that for his women especially if she don’t like the woman. These are some possibilities of things to consider. I’m just saying.

I rarely find this problem with other women, it's black women that seem to revolt against a man in charge in such a direct and masculine way. This is why I stopped hiring them. I hire black men, but black women burned me way too many times on projects with their attitudes and "I'm taking over" personalities that I had to accept the reality that something is wrong there. Nobody wants to put up with Cookie Lyon every day especially when the woman is not on that success level to be playing that role in the first place.

I am trying to block my son's father out his life for good. But I'm not bitter. I have been very accommodating, even asking him to take him for weekends. But he's not stepping up and being very inconsistent. Does not help financially and keeps standing up our son. At this point I feel it's better if he just stays away. I have legal custody and he has always had liberal visitation. I'm just tired of comforting my son who feels like I'm keeping him away from his dad.

Most Man that make comment such as this are the worse type of man period, irresponsible, careless, never taking a accountability for thier actions...slaves to their flesh and wolves behind the mask... clearly a bad role model for the Child. Spend alot of time stealing souls, lying, deceiving and destroying lives...taking everything lightly, I mean completing destroying and altering the course of where life was suppose to go.and you only get one, some figure most spend it till the end still lost and confused. And a "I'm sorry is suppose to do." " bitter you say" .... it's about all of the demons she has consumed, the person she had becomes due to the lack of love, trust and honesty. Woman are internal creatures, we give, nurture and create life.. but when your pouring into the wrong person, lost your self, then when it's time to step back out there in the world you dont feel worthy, you've lost your identity and it's this constant up hill battle of your self vs your self, retraining the mind to be something different. I feel like I've lost apart of me I'm spending alot of time trying to put me back together while raising a child. I get so tired of waking and having to literally FIGHT WIH MYSELF AS IF THERE MULTIPLE WITH IN ME.. one is telling you useless, Pathetic... while the other it's trying to combat it. I mean my child's Father Dogged me, abused me mentally, physically and emotionally. I asked god to bring me a Good God fearing Man into my life after all of that and he did but after the damage was done, I was so damaged, he was so perfect but I felt like I wasn't worthy of him. Or anything good because of how I was treating. Your trying to rebuild yourself while trying to raise and be a role model for this innocent, pure little being. When you brake a leg you dont just slap a bandage on it and keep it moving it's the same thing with your insides. It takes a second to kill someone But 9 months to create a child think about that. 1 seconds to make a wrong move but the process of creating, investing in what ever it's that you are doing.. it's a process and it the same thing with healing. But the healing is much slower when you have another being to take care of. When you have a child that is what you are suppose to be focusing. NOT REBUILDING YOURSELF BACK ALL OVER AGAIN. I just hope God can repair me again.

Oh and I Never banded my child from seeing mines either. Most woman arnt being vengeful thet are trying to find themselves again, most people can get away from a toxic, manipulative, Ex partner it's whole another thing when you have a child with them, and you are the one that had to carry the child. Let it alone be life sentence to a generational curse, which affects the child unless you get lucky and find the right man at actually wants a woman with a child that already has a kid. Lol while yall get up and move that shit along like it nothing. And you either continue to keep making the same mistakes or better find another woman and she gets the better you, the man you help raised. I mean that's insane to me. But see I was raised old school, this new generation of Men and Woman are something else, woman are doing the same thing men doing now thinking with thier pussies. A very selfish, self serving, me me, what an I get vs what I can give generation.

I’ve gotten manipulated by mom and it’s frustrating and it’s affecting me trying to hold a job down. I’ve made some poor decisions, bad vehicle accident that almost destroyed my career. I never had a male figure in my life, having to learn things on my own is extremely difficult. My mother, sister and late grandma made fun of me about my life and wanted to mentally damage me, humiliate me. It’s super frustrating and I didn’t see the signs of the toxic behavior til now and now I wish I would’ve had a male figure back then to show me things.

I wish I would have had this growing up. Ya got some mother's that would rather see their son's turn into women than to see their son's grow up to be men. Some women(not all) do this in order to control their son's and show some sort of dominance. A mother cannot raise her son to be a complete man and plus many women who would date a man raised by his mother would take advantage of him. Its a horrible and vicious cycle of vulnerability for a son to be raised by his mother. With that being said these youth mentorship programs are a must within the black community in order for the young men to be raised with a masculine touch and not to be taken advantage of. Some mom's want their sons to submit to female dominance an not have any backbone which i feel as though is some type of revenge against the father.

I can't stand seeing "happy fathers day to all the single mothers" like... no. Maybe you're an amazing Mother but you CAN'T be a father no matter how hard you try. I know a single Mom, in my life, that puts such quotes on fb every year but what she doesn't realize is that she has raised useless sons. I know she means well but the problem is, I think she overcompensates to make up for the fact that their father abandoned them. All she did was create 200lb babies. Sad really. 😓

There are some variables you are not considering. One night stands, the ones who cheated and got pregnant, the ones who sleep with multiple men who themselves dont even know who the father is, all that is a mans fault? Whether you like it or not, women who dont want kids dont have them and those who have them wanted them.

@@theanonymoustrader6852 stop putting all the blame on women. Some men even after agreeing to sire a child change and become demons. Take a bucket of popcorn and listen to why women walk out of marriages and relationships even though they have children. It's not about being better than men or thinking that women are better than men. Some men can't just man up and take responsibility. And some just feel obligated and that's where they lose their manly sense. It's not all about the women coz if it were then they'd need no men to sire children. And men should also get that.

She kept me from doing all types of thing's that cultivates a young mans mind and purpose. She put me in karate class one time and I loved it. I was dedicated to it. I wanted to go everyday... I mean everyday. I practiced at home and even taught my little cousin some moves but that was about it. After that I didn't do anything else until I was about 13 - 14 and started playing basketball with some kids from around my way but not on a team. Just cooling with the fellas.
