Michael, it's refreshing seeing you do an interview on someone's story on how they moved to CR. You seem happier talking to Sarah than when you were doing the Odd Couple podcasts.

Refreshing to see a HAPPY video and smiling and laughing throughout. Just watched a video on why people leave CR and lady said a kid got in bed and there was a spider and never felt safe again. Thank god Sarah isnt spooked about spiders and left CR. lol. Good to see ya'll together. Just rqst'd Sarah on Facebook to follow her there too. Been following her for years here on KZbin. And of course..Michael is the bomb. Cheers!!

Good morning 🌺 Love you two! That backdrop is stunning! Sarah is a gypsy soul like myself, luckily for her, she is a go-getter! And a pleasure to work with! My solo journey to CR was guided by Michael Alan's videos, although I hired Sarah to help find me a rental . Yep, it feels like that sometimes, unfamiliar and lonely...I'm still working on those changes, only I have no wbere to go back to ... I roll with the punches...great interview Michael!

Great seeing Sarah, as always. I’m originally from Canada, and now retired. I’ve been living in CR for a few years now, and during my 10 years of research, KZbin video watching (of course yours was a must watch), reading countless blog posts, the Tico Times, the history of Central America and how CR came about, and on and on. That’s how I stumbled upon Sarah’s original KZbin videos several years ago, and the rest is history. Sarah’s relocation service helped me move here, and it was for a single older man, knowing no one in CR, the best decision I could have made. If not, I don’t know if I’d would have moved here or stayed here this long. I consider Sarah a friend now and she continues to help me whenever I have a question. I could never get the time or the money to visit over those years, (I did inquire about your travel service as well), and when I did, Covid hit. So I retired at 66 years old, got rid of all my stuff, slapped the mask on 😷and moved here anyway. Not a regret in the world and I probably would have driven myself crazy and into the poorhouse if I’d of stayed in Canada. Keep up the great work Michael, stay the person you’ve always been. I still watch your videos, on all of your KZbin channels, real estate etc. 👍

You're two of my favorite people❤️ My husband and I used Sarah's services to relocate here to CR, nothing but professional, honest, and thorough to detail, including her staff!!!! Between watching yours and Sarah's videos, we were able to make a very informed decision to move, and we're very happy here in the mountains of Gracia. Keep up the great content 🙏❤️

I suspect she saved! She works hard , helps so many people and goes above and beyond for all of us. Then invest to build and now has property for sale that is currently used as an AirBnB. Much easier to do that here in CR than the USA I suspect.

I can relate. Newly married, both my wife and I suddenly both came home from work one day, and both of us showed each other an advert in the paper for people to come as volunteers to work on a kibbutz in Israel. (We are NOT Jewish) So we applied and 2 months later we were in a kibbutz just outside Jerusalem. Initially we said we would stay for 3 months, but within a few weeks, we decided to stay, and then moved to another kibbutz where they were offering free Hebrew classes. We eventually had to to return to our home country, but we did go back for another year, living with friends, and then in a rental house (and then our eldest was born there 👶). Unfortunately, i could not get a work permit, so we had to return. Since then, we have lived and worked in England, France, the Netherlands, Canada and now retired in Costa Rica.

🇺🇸 ONE THING I NOTICED WHEN I CAME TO THE U.S.A. WHEN WOMEN WANT TO GET PREGNANT... FIRST THEY ARE DEPRESSED BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PREGNANT YET. SECOND, DOWN THE LINE THEY GET DEPRESSED AGAIN BECAUSE THEY ARE PREGNANT AND THEIR BODY IS NOT AS IT WAS BEFORE. THEN THIRD THEY GET AFTER BIRTH DEPRESSION? 🇬🇹 I NEVER HEARD OF SUCH THINGS IN LATIN AMERICA! 🙌

Thanks and will hope this trip will convince us to move to Costa Rica.

Both of you and my Mother in-law are the reason my wife and I who are both 27 are planning on spending 2 months down there towards the end of the year to find out what area we like and begin the process of buying a home and being applications for residency. We are done with the crazy U.S lifestyle. We would rather live in a second world nation where the people have family values and are relaxed rather than the materialistic madhouse of the U.S.

How did Sarah get enough cash to build 2 houses? It's at least $100k up front. IMO, some "investors" are getting flossed here. Considering the current position and direction of Guanacaste real estate market, it's the worst time to enter it. 🤔
