Is it possible to build cantilevered rooms out of this material without providing beams, particularly for a short cantilevered floor overhanged by just 30 cm?

I thought you needed rebar on the underside of the roof, but it looks like this system doesn't use it. Please explain. Thanks a lot. Great video.

a lot of multistory commercial buildings have poured concrete floors/ceilings. They use what looks like corrugated metal roofing, lay wire mesh over that, then pour the concrete over that. Wire mesh instead of rebar, like concrete sidewalks, streets, etc.... But, there is no doubt, very limited free span without actual floor or ceiling trusses or load bearing walls below.

Can on make curved structures with this or is all just squares?
@lyraserpentine894 Жыл бұрын
This is my question. Dome structures are more sound and with this extra layer of protection, the structure would be nearly indestructible.

I have been asking around: "what is the advantage with this system vs the 'foam block' system that has been used for 35-40 years already?"
@vangcruz44423 жыл бұрын
Foam block system uses twice the foam. This system uses half the foam but longer labor due to plastering both sides.
@errm19133 жыл бұрын
@@vangcruz4442 OK, but how is that an advantage? The foam is dirt cheap. You're talking less than pennies per block, or just a few dollars per house in additional foam. But the energy savings and sound mitigation are so much more with more foam.
@vangcruz44423 жыл бұрын
@@errm1913 you may think foam is dirt cheap but not when you buy it from these people. They think foam are made of gold.

You get perfect thermal bridging; which means you could have used dry-stacked CMU with the same results.

Ok now im very curious can anyone please tell me how is this so safe than the traditional with hollowblocks? So that I can decide ahead of time thankyou..
@lol3ndir2 жыл бұрын
The metal mesh makes it stronger as cement holds into so many metal. It’s like having a hollow block full of metal bars.

No hollow block or solid concrete walls. Have you ever heard of wind or worse, Typhoons? This is bs.
