I'm surprising you guys don't have a battery power nailer for installing your staples with.. the wire fence companies have them.

Must a be rookie putting on eels like that... It's a dead end. Everything of making a break to do it denergized. SAFER... Install cutouts or just a break in the line... Whereing gloves like that in the rain sure way to gett shocked or even worse see it tracks on sleeves through water... Williams recommend... Bending eels opens it up so it slides on easier Local 94 IBEW international

Power tools are great, go faster do four times as much work for less pay. No raises over the years. Reward them. Think aboutit. Those old timers climbing. Getting paid all those hours for fair labor. Paid by hour 8 times as much more work. For what 401k Line wrench ratchet. Pension my brothers and sisters benefits... paid $150,000 for $300,000 worth of work. Make sense Not really

@@linehandibew6205Their other comment says they are IBEW 94. That’s how all these comments go. Someone complains about something relating to the field, someone who treats the union like a religion goes “durrrrrr must be non union durrrrrrr”, then the first person says they ARE union. Being part of a union isn’t some magical thing that protects you from everything my guy.

It isn’t a dead end, the circuit continues past the pole, a dead end would have the circuit stopping at that pole. It is dead ended on each side of the pole but that is only because of the different wire sizes, which is also the reason they have the down guy holding the weight of the heavier 1/0 conductor.

Deadend and continued with a slack span

@@koda7820 Yes you're correct. We wouldn't build it like this, we wouldn't wrap the #4 copper around the top groove, we would put it in a bell and shoe the same as the 1/0, then just make the tap around the pole and just shoes for for both the copper and aluminum neutral, not that there's anything wrong with the way they built it.
@koda7820 Жыл бұрын
@@08c6vette yeah I haven’t seen it done like that in the video but I guess they did it like that because of how it was already. I have seen copper with a shoe and then the aluminum on a ridge pin with a preform. But probably only done like that if that’s all they have.
@08c6vette Жыл бұрын
@@koda7820 We occasionally come across some really old stuff when we're changing a pole, we're talking wooden pins with clear glass or brown porcelain and # 4 or #6 solid copper that is just wrapped around the post insulator but we would never rebuild it that way. We would just use small steel shoes with a range from #8 - #2 and poly bells.
@08c6vette Жыл бұрын
@@koda7820We would also be in violation of our cradle to cradle rules with just leathers even at the neutral level, especially on a hot pole, would have to have a minimum of class 0’s which I’m surprised isn’t a violation for these guys as well.
@mattmatthew94226 ай бұрын
Pulling up a neutral on a hot pole with no rubbers is fucking stupid.
