Excellent video, I think that the first thermistor is one of a PTC type instead of a NTC, that would explain why electric welding machines sometimes TURN ON and some time later it TURN OFF and repeat over and over again when relay switching fail. With a NTC, the welder will turn on and would work across the NTC until it burned because high current working.

At 6:50 , the function of IGBT pairs seems same as of Push-pull in Audio amplifiers and also same as Half Bridge in motor direction control circuits , am I right? My welder is using SG3525 to drive a pair of 40N65BU IGBTs.But I am wandering, how my welder is specified 200A as IGBT max current limit is 40A?

best regards yes i use multimeter, if the multimeter have high input resistance then it is safe to test signals if we use oscilloscope, then we must use isolation transformer to power up oscilloscope you can check my main channel (haseeb electronics) to follow a complete series of electronics courses in english language please check (haseeb electronics) channel

Very good multimeter, even so (although it has an input impedance of 10M,but, since once a mosfet inexplicably exploded within 10cm of my face... "my legs tremble" :) . Great explanation . 👍👍. I have this kind of welding machine. There is SG 3525 IC for switching, there are two potentiometer in controlling module . What is the functions of them. Is that for fine tuning of oscillation frequency.? Is that for close loop feedback? Actually I disturbed the default settings of both potentiometer. I need to set at original settings. Please advise me how I can do. There is one another potentiometer to select desired amperes, that can vary from 18 amps to 200 amp. How I can get variable voltage at output. Right now I can get only variable amp . I want to modify my machine. Please suggest me. Thank you so much for great tutorial.👍👍
