Looking good. May I recomend from 'West Hill Wagon Works' a fantastic little tool called the 'Track Pin Mate' has a hole in it for drilling the sleeper and a neat little magnet for holding the track pin. Priceless, laid my test track in no time, which is all flexi track.

Flex track is so great to work with. It's exciting to see trains running! The bridges look great too. You're just missing a couple of comfy rotating chairs up there and a mini bar. 😎

Cleaning the ends up of the flexi when you cut it takes a little patience. But it's nice to lay a yard of track at a time. It makes it so much easier. I've got a chair that fits through the hole, that is going up in a few weeks after I've done some painting. Cheers

Hi Simon. It looks like its running very well , that curve is much smoother now. I know that you have said that you will only run 5 coach sets but it would be nice if you ran 8. I think that it looks more prototypical. I run mine in 8 coach rakes and they come in at under 5ft. But if your happy with 5 then you do what makes you happy. I can't wait to see what you will do with the scenery. Its all going well so far, well done. Good luck mate.

Hello Brian, I dont have the space for a long station and even the rises are better being smooth I'm not sure how much each loco will pull up them. Some testing required. I have yet to assemble trains from my collection of coaches. That's a job for another day. Cheers

Hi Simon, This looks great. You caught it perfectly with three trains crossing over at the same time. I was trying to work out if there was a connection between the two circuits, I couldnt see one. Looks like there might be a spot near to the level crossing, but maybe you don't want to put one in. I need to get one of those illuminated magnifying glasses, getting the light good really is key. Over the last weekend I made two or three videos for the STWWW (Steam Toys World Wide Fayre) and one thing led to another and yesterday I made myself a test track and started to have a go at making some of my old Hornby Dublo locos work!! Hello David, there are no means of running trains from one track to another. Saves a few bob plus sorting the power problems that will create. That magnifying glass was not expensive, not sure if you have a Hobbycraft in Spain but they are readily available here. Saves straining our eyesight at our age! Simon

We had a similar problem of getting trains from one circuit to another I'm pretty sure we used a doorbell to jump power across from one circuit to another for those occasional moments when you needed to do it I did come across an illuminated magnifying glass yesteday I think I got it from Aldi. It had clamps for doing soldering which is why I dug it out, but it didnt light up even after changing batteries. Amazing what a bit of cleaning and oiling does, these engines wont have been touched in years
