Oh Vivian, what a creative angel you are! I have been googling for instructions on how to do this for what seems like forever. All I ever found before used two wafting/weaving? sticks and clamps etc. which made the whole procedure too expensive for my budget. You have shown me exactly every detail I needed to know AND I have all the 'tools' that you mention at home. God Bless, you are a treasure and thank you from the bottom of my heart. As I age my hair is getting thinner so this video will be life changing for me ♥♥♥

Thank you so much for making this video I have been searching and searching for a good video to tech me, I cut my REALLY long virgin red hair and I kept it with the intention of making extensions for myself so I didn’t have to have my hair that long and hot and heavy all the time and I could on occasion. In about I year from right now I will again have that much hair to cut off and add to the significant amount I already have to do this with but didn’t have the knowledge to actually do it, I also didn’t want to waste it on failed attempts to do it. Hopefully I can get my mom to help me with the sewing part 💖

Omg this is exactly what I've been trying to find! I made a horse stuffie and bought hair pieces like this for the mane, then realized I had no idea how I was going to get it on there. I didn't know I could use a sewing machine this way. Phew!.

Be careful using heat on kanekalon hair, the fumes contain a carcinogen. That's why women use hot water to curl the hair instead of a curling iron. Stay safe ❤

I want to make some hair hats with cute ball caps. I tried human hair because I make my wigs from human hair but it's cost prohibitive (I need too much hair to make it long and full- I was hoping for an economical option for the hair hats.) Now I'm going to raid my synthetic wigs to cut off some hair and do this!!

If the hair is kanekalon and you just want it straightened, hold the hair with clippers or whatever and pour boiling hot water on it and let air dry. Works every time. (I have also made small patches of hair wrapped around curlers and fastened, and then poured hot water on it but Im not sure how it works on bigger patches or longer hair. With small patches of doll hair, it creates princess curls.)

Did any of the hairs fall out or get stabbed in half with the sewing machine needle? And will the hairs get caught in the machine?
@Kayendee843 ай бұрын
That's what want to know. I tried it but no matter what I do, the hair gets stuck in the machine.
@audreyluan53253 ай бұрын
Just recently, I ran into the same issue. A good solution is to tape down the root ends of the hair with scotch tape, pin it down on some tulle fabric, and sew back and forth. It worked, and no hairs caught in the machine

It would have been much easier to fold over if you had left the tape in place. Then remove the tape once the foldover stitches were in place.
