Hey girls I love your words, I am from Medellin but I am currently living in NY, and I feel so proud when people like you guys talk in that way about my city and my country

Shout out to all the melinated travelers out there. My heart is full of JOY when I see you in Argentina, Canada, Haiti to South Korea. Do not allow society or media to limit you. I had to experience it to truely and fully understand that we are more of the same than what divides us and makes us different. ....next stop...Taipei Tiawan! See you in the air. Keep up the good work!

I so agree with you when you said there are people who live "on that fear", and they discourage you from traveling. My husband and I enjoy lots of travel but haven't made it out of the states yet, but we really want to so we talk about it often and we're kinda in the stage where we toss different ideas in the air, so mainly family make comments like "it's dangerous you better be careful they killing people" as if killings and shootings don't happen in the states every day.

Yes people will try and try to discourage you from going anywhere out of the country i heard the same thing before i went to Mexico City, Panama City,Panama you just have to ignore most of it now someone from those countries i tend to give some credence to, but i wasn't deterred. i love Toronto too my least fave of the countries ive been too is Jamaica. I went to Panama City and i loved it would enjoy a return trip. My most favorite place ive been too is Hawaii i know its a state but it is so beautiful. People always try knock a place by saying oh its so touristy like thats a bad thing. Hats off to you both do your thing.

Ladies! Is so interesting to me to see how black northamericans think (in a wrong way) about some countries in latinamerica, as a latino let me told you this, Colombia is the most racist country in latinamerica against black people. I experience and lived and I witnessed. Is a sad and hipocrita country.

Corta Caña later on we did notice There are some issues there. But I can't co-sign on it being the MOST racist place in Latin America. Thanks for commenting.

I actually travelled to Marrakech alone last March for 8 days and other than a few marriage proposals and a couple lewd comments no one really bothered me. It’s was the same level of attention I received in Jamaica. I said all of that to say, that her experience doesn’t necessarily mean you will have the same. I personally loved Marrakech and would definitely go back!

I had the same experience in Morocco too, and I was with my then boyfriend. Can you imagine?! Arabs disprespect black women and see us as prostitutes. I will never visit and Arab country ever again in my life. If you must, then maybe Turkey will be the better option as they are a bit more respectful, and friendly.
