Fantastic episode. Regarding steering through coral heads from the bow of your boat: If you have a couple or more spare turning blocks you could attach them to the base of the stanction nearer the end of your rudder tiller then tie a line to the tiller on each side and run said line through the turning blocks running the line to the bow where you can sit and look ahead for coral heads while "remote steering" the boat holding one line on each hand. It is not troublesome to set up and works fine for the distances you would cover in these lagoons. Be well! Keep living!

Your video appeared in my recommended for the first time last week, I’d never heard of you before. You are now my favourite youtuber. I love watching the evolution of your interior design.. art gecko I’m plotting my own ocean adventure, and designing a hurricane-lava-lamp suitable for ocean cruising to hang from the overhead - you know, thinking about the important stuff first.. if ever our ships pass in the night I will offer lava lamps Also, as an old-timey fiddle player, I approve of your choice in music.

Oh my god art gecko! Love this. Also, I totally thought of putting a lava lamp in my boat as well! It drew too much for my tiny batteries, bit I'm overjoyed to know there's another homie out there rocking the lava. I'm glad you enjoyed the Chumlillies! Their fiddler is a good friend of mine

Yay, my happy day, it took me all of 6 hours to make a new alternator bracket today (in a marina in hout bay Cape Town) so don't stress, EVERYTHING on a boat takes a lot longer,, I've been stuck here for 5 weeks😆😆 Honest thoughts on how your Monitor has performed, I've got a Scanmar Pelagic tiller pilot but need a vane for my upcoming (Jan 2022) solo Atlantic crossing and the Monitor is significantly cheaper than my first choice which is a Hydrovane AR vane.????????

I want to start a Gofundme to get you some kind of bow rig for a polarized camera that can see through the water for navigating through the shallows. ; )
@agentstaple13 жыл бұрын
I wanted to add a little camera to the top of my mast for that, able to see whats up ahead without having to leave the comfort of your cabin. Would have other benefits too like deterring would be thieves (some of them anyway) and capturing cool footage Probably do able for about £150 or so, unfortunately my boat needs a lot of other £150's before I start adding fancy luxuries like that xD
