Aside from the usual scene stealers, I was sooo happy for Minwoo and Sieun. They really came full circle after being attracted to each other in the first few eps. Also, it felt like Gyuri only chose Minkyu to save face and leave inferno with a partner. She was lucky that Minkyu was whipped for her.

Just I was saying, Gwanhee will pursue a relationship with Hyeseon even after the show's over. During their last convo he never brought up about his connections with other people, he just called her over to tell she's the kindest person in the island and that he learned so much from her. That is for the show anymore. He was being his true self and wants to tell her that before she leaves the show. Maybe they cut the part where he said he will pick her because that nod HS gave him when she arrived at the final selection was full of meaning to me and he nodded back, as if THEY already made up their minds. Not just his mind! He was not only intrigued but he was truly smitten by her.

Initially I thought Gwanhee ignored Minji on the helicopter bc he was trying to be respectful to Hyesun so I was about to give him some credit there. But then later he admits he only did that bc he was mad that Miniji picked Minkyu instead of listening to him and picking Jinsuk. He even said his body was leaning towards Minji. I was like...yep...what did I expect. He's been consistently himself all the way to the end. And his reasoning for picking Hyesun was no better. I hope he just sticks to basketball.

I agree with your thoughts. I dont think Gwanhee planned on falling for someone and was in denial a lot. I also think as much as he said he liked Minji he was only really attracted to her looks. He literally said to her face I don't care about what you do and stuff. I also noticed he drank a lot on his dates with Hajeong and Minji didn't go in the spa or pool with them. With Hyeseon he didn't want the night to end. He hesitated to get out of the pool and didn't want to go to bed.

personally thought this was the best and most entertaining season! there were a lot more memorable people on this season, and more memorable twists and storylines. i really was unsure who was gonna end up together till the last two episodes. while there were more couples formed this season, i think only one has any lasting potential, and that is minwoo and sieun. they seemed to really like each other, and had cleared up most of the misunderstandings from the show by the end. jinseok i feel wasn't attracted to minyoung anymore, gyuri only picked mingyu cause she didn't want to 'lose', and minkyu is a king fr, he really shined at the end there. and gwanhee, well, he and hyeseon COULD last, but it would surprise me. i think it would require a lot of growth on gwanhee's part. my favorites to watch together were gwanhee and hajeong and i'm sad they didn't end up together, (and i am blaming that on gwanhee's ego not allowing it after being chewed out and he still had other options). i liked hyeseon, but i felt a certain cunning side to her which was was underlying her outward niceness, and only really came out when she chewed gwanhee out in the end. she and gwanhee matched well, but as i personally love hajeong so much i couldn't help but feel sorry for her. the hosts as well were more honest with their real feelings this season and defended the cast's actions a little less, which made it more entertaining to watch. so yeah, lots of standout moments and people this season, definitely the best one so far in terms of entertainment value!!

Si-Eun and Min-Woo were my favorite couple this season. Their interactions were so natural and the fact that they were able to match without going to Paradise made this amazing. Gyu-ri going off on Min-Woo I thought was so unfair. I understand her frustration but he was being honest that he wanted to be Si-Eun. The way she spoke to him was rude and really made that whole scene sequence hard to watch. When she told Si-Eun that Min-Woo and her couldn't talk I was like just let them speak this conversation is going nowhere and you said that you were turned off. I'm happy that they got to speak right after and they were both beaming with excitement. Si-Eun and Min-Woo were just so cute together.

Guryi liked MinWoo since episode 1. Her comments to “stay low” likely referring to her absence in episode 9 after she got hurt after the chicken fight. She had bandages and carried her medication. Double standard when women stand up for their emotional health. Minkyu was “the man” we all want in a partner= kind, empathetic, respectful….he was always focused on 1 person, Guryi.

I definitely think Gwanhee carried the season, along with Hajeong, Jinseok and Hyeseon. I added Hyeseon because she was engaging in all her appearances. Personally I continued watching the show mainly because of Hyeseon, she’s my absolute fav 🥰

Even though I still think Gyu-ri went a bit overboard, I completely understand where her frustration comes from. We know she thought Si-eun and won-ik liked eachother and that she probably didn't think Si-eun and min-woo liked each other because in the timeframe they didn't spend much time together. She went to paradise with Min-woo and clearly showed she liked him, and then after they TOGETHER agree that he would not reach out to other girls. I completely understand her frustration and hurt when just a day later he tells her that he likes Si-eun. He did pretty much go back on his word. Gyu-ri seems like the type that wants her interest for herself, and people can be like that and that is entirely okay, as long as it is communicated well between the 2 parties. Which I think she did pretty well, considering she literally told him to not reach out to other girls. So when Min-woo tells her she probably got a mix of anger, frustration, confusion and jealousy resulting in her explosion. I see a lot of people calling her fake, but I disagree. She was really nice throughout the show, but suddenly she feels betrayed after only 1 day. I thought her reaction was very realistic. The real frustration for me came with ha-jeong, hye-seon and min-ji. Min-ji seems like a total pick me, which was good at stirring up the males in the show, but was just off putting. Ha-jeong and Hye-seon need to get some self-respect. They both know of Gwan-hee's bullshitting and both don't like it. They both told him off about it, only to backtrack on that pretty much immediately. Like, they backtracking on their argument just seems like it will make Gwan-hee's ego worse. Quick thoughts on the contestants: Minwoo - seems like a very nice guy, only mess up was when he just didn't communicate his feelings well with Gyu-ri until it was too late. Jin-seok - The actual goat of the show. Communicates his feelings well, very funny and chill guy. Just good vibes all around. Min-young - I thought she really fumbled the bag by having some weird double standard that jin-seok also noticed. She can talk to others, but when jin-seok goes to paradise with another she instanly gets jealous and kinda embarrased him during the next breakfast. Won-ik - Seemed like a very nice guy until the last couple of episodes when turned weird all of a sudden during the conversations with si-eun Si-eun - A really nice girl. Clearly likes min-woo but is quite shy. She was just really cute the whole show and seems like a total green flag to be around. Ha-bin - bro really fumbled it HARD. Dude really needs to work on his communication skills. But he really seems like the guy who needs to know you quite well to warm up to you and be interested in you. I think he is a really nice guy, but this type of show just shows us his worst sides which is unfortunate. Min-kyu - My second favorite guy on the show. Just seems like a very caring man, not only to his interest, but others as well. I really liked when he talked to others about their worries and thought with them to make ideas. He also seemed like a jealousy police where he called out jealousy pretty often which I found pretty funny. Ha-jeong - seems like a very fun person to be around that clearly knows what she wants. But seems to disregard herself to get it. Min-ji - good to stir up the competition, but feels like pick me girl. Hye-seon - very bubbely and bright person, but she also has the same critique as ha-jeong. Gyu-ri - A kind person who CLEARLY wants someone to themselves. I think she expressed that well, but it was unfortunate that min-woo didn't pick up on that. I think this type of show also showcased the bad side of her. Opposite of ha-jeong and hye-seon she has a lot of self-respect, and when someone breaks her trust or goes back on his word she knows that it was not meant to be, but can be harsh when communicating that.

From my pov this is the only rewatchable season out of the 3 from beginning to the end. Season 1 is boring through and through and season 2 became interesting when Dex got introduced but the plot didn't advance because of his inaction/indecisiveness. I actually quite like everyone from season 3 and the raw emotions and vulnerability that came with it. Especially from GH, Minji, Hajeong and Hyeseon. The other contestants felt like they were too aware of the cameras or trying to build up a certain image for me to feel connected to them. Hajeong was my favourite and it broke my heart when she cried in her final interview. If I could change one thing that would be bringing back the old inferno kitchen, though.

Gyuri was pretty sick and she may have been on some medication. I think that is why she acted so petulantly to Min-Woo. Minji let out all stops on the helicopter but in doing so she lost her dignity as well. Ha-Jeong did keep her dignity and sweet personality throughout and she was satisfied that Gwan Hee told her the he "loved her once." Hyeson, because of her kindness, taught him that that is the most important quality. He told her that she was the kindest person to everyone there and he regretted the callous way he had acted earlier on. At the bonfire it was Hyeson's expression of gratitude to everyone and her statement that she appreciated Gwan Hee having told her that she was a good person that brought forth his tears. This season taught a valuable lesson for those who alerted to it. That lesson is that good character based on treating everyone with kindness and compassion is actually the most powerful and attractive trait of all. A stable relationship can only be built when this quality is strong.

This was the best season in terms of production. They spiced up the format and cast people that were open to get to know everyone instead of everyone being interested in one person. But many of cast members had boring personalities or were more unlikable than past seasons. And I miss the cute theme song

I liked this season's concept of having two infernos at the start. That setting forced them to limit their options at the start. I didn't like the concept of popular people in the first two seasons, where there was one clearly popular guy and woman that all the unwanted people were obsessed with 😅 in season three there seemed to be more variation in the couples etc.

Great review. Hajeong for me was the shining star this season - the prettiest, wittiest and most authentic of all the girls across the 3 seasons. The other stars this season were Jinseok and GH as you mentioned for different reasons - Jinseok the funniest, wittiest and most likeable guy and GH was the worst villain across the 3 seasons but entertaining. Minkyu is a class human being but a bit boring at times to watch. Minji was a loose cannon but pure entertainment and I found it hard to watch Gyuri because of her behaviour and obvious PS. Comparing the 3 seasons - Season 1 was the worst. The cast was not memorable, there wasn't much friendship and it showed afterwards as they hardly kept in touch. Season 2 had the inferno GOAT in JY who just sat back and had 4 girls pursuing him with his effortless charisma and presence. The difference between him and GH is that JY was respectful to all the girls and didn't mislead them like GH. Season 2 had the best bond as most of the cast are still in regular touch a year after their season. I don't think any of the couples in Season 3 will last more than a year at most. Minkyu/Gyuri was to save face at the end, Jinseok/Minyoung won't last as Jinseok is far too good for her in the real world, Minwoo/Sieun puppy love may last a year and Hyeseon will surely wake up one day that GH is a narcissist. Season 2 and 3 had one thing in common - terrible ending for the standout stars of their seasons in Hajeong and JY. GH was at his most entertaining during his banter with Hajeong, I found his dates with Hyeseon to be his most boring to watch.

I agreed with all the points u said. At first, I was like ok minji is not so bad right, she is even studying to be a new anchor, strong independent girl who's a bit flirty. Then she cried after losing the game and I was like ... Girl, it is literally a game, you lost, get over it, no need to cry over spilled milk. Also I don't understand how she is so obsessed with gwan hee when she has only talked to him for a few days, she even kept on mumbling, why did gwan hee choose her over me and I was like just get over it, it's not the end of the world... My first impression of Hye Seon was unmemorable because she kept on smiling and being overdramatic because of mangoes but she has really won my heart when she called gwan hee out. Lastly, thank you for telling us international audience that gyuri's tone is really inappropriate as a korean as there is alot of international fans who defended her by giving excuses because she is pretty, i.e. like she is sick hence rude etc but I could tell that she is really being rude to minwoo just because he is younger than her. I really thought gyuri is gonna be the next jia with multiple picks but I think the guys are slightly scared of her because she doesn't care about their ego. Looks are really not everything as the main issue with the trio gwanhee, minji and gyuri is that they do not respect other people and their boundaries, hence so much hate lolz...

Gwanhee and hyeseon is the best couple❣️🥺, i honestly think that gwanhee is not a red flag, bcz he is serious to make a good relationship as he's already so old but the sad fact is that he is kind of fool, who dont know how to make the right decisions, he kept on playing with girls.. But me too i was so suprised and happy at the same time when he chosed hyeseon bcz i personally think that hyeseon is the only gurl who can create a big impact in his life, i mean she is very smart, nice and know how to deal with his foolishness 😂,hyeseon is the perfect girl for gwanhee, i hope they will marry each other and love each other forever❣️, best season so far even i cried at the end bcz of my happiness... Why on earth did Min Woo sit there and take all of that condescending scolding from Gyu Ri? OMG what a b*tch. And why did Min Kyu choose her in the end? Did she pay him so she wouldn't have been shamed by not being chosen - again??? The drama this season was top notch. But I wish they would try getting a few more contestants like Min Woo and Min Kyu and Seok Jin who didn't seem to have an agenda beyond finding someone who might be the one. And as for the women, they could do with a few less pageant girls and a few more just average, non-surgically modified women. Who cares about a Chanel bag on a deserted island? Really! Love your analysis of the final episode.

Then he (somehow) got her to apologise to him then said her apology made him not like her. Ha Jeong was my favourite girl and I really really felt for her at the end

I am never going to understand how people blew up over Min-ji trying trying to see if the guy she likes (who, immediately preceding this, said he liked her!) was mad at her or not. The "disrespectful" argument is unserious and based only on looking at the scene absent any context at all, both before and after the scene. Before the helicopter, Gwan-hee tells Min-ji that she's the only one he's interested in, but they have a disagreement about how she can "prove her affection" by choosing a Gwan-hee-approved guy, which is why she's checking on his mood: she's not trying to flirt but reaffirm that it's fine between them, despite her not doing what he wanted (because Jin-seok is not a good option for her), because he is giving her the coldest of cold shoulders. After (and during!) the helicopter, Min-kyu indicates that he totally understands what's up and can't believe Gwan-hee treated her like that. (Also: did everyone forget that Si-eun spent her entire night with Min-kyu talking about Min-woo? Do we hate Si-eun, too?) Further after the helicopter, Gwan-hee admits he only treated Min-ji that way because he was mad at her...which is, y'know, the thing she was trying to check on and smooth over. I understand that a lot of people don't like Min-ji, but this focus on etiquette is just disingenuous.

Because, again. my point is that Min-ji had cause for trying to just get a nod that they were cool and that he wasn’t mad at her. I don’t think she was trying to steal him away, in that moment, just check in. But everyone is acting like she inserted herself into the other date and (separately) was shocking Min-kyu by suddenly revealing that she only picked him as a friend. It’s just not true. And you have to willfully ignore what happens in the lead-up to that moment to claim the “disrespect” argument. You can say that it was a poor strategic choice, maybe, but this whole “mistress vibes” accusation is 100% Hye-seon bias. Because you first need there to be a “wife” before there can be “another woman.” (And, in this scenario, Min-ji was given assurances that _she_ was the “wife.”) If he’d been picked by Min-ji, and Hye-seon was forced to go with Min-kyu as pals and ended up giving Gwan-hee a shoulder poke, everyone would be posting TikToks of the moment with little heart-eyes emojis.
