As rachet as this show is, it’s one of the largest social experiments on dating happening in real time for Black people, and we can learn from this! Here is what I noticed: 1. There’s quite a few Sagittarius people who come on this show which makes me wonder 💭(this is known as disproportionatility in research). They are described as being spontaneous in nature. 2. Men are perfectly fine with attractive and unattractive women having standards that don’t ruffle their feathers. This is solely based on the comments and chat… 3. When a Black woman has what is perceived as “too high standards”, men especially go to attack her looks, the number of children she has, and anything they can hold over her head as a mistake to “humble” her. 4. Weaves, lashes, and makeup are all OK ladies IF you don’t have standards that offend (if you wear any of these and talk about income, get ready 😅), here comes “let me see you with no lashes” or “she’s barely a 6”… 😩 5. The “High Value” Conversation needs to die as the women need to know that a man can be a good steward over 60k and a fool with 165k. A man does not have to make more than you to be a provider. Being a provider is a mindset not a dollar amount. 6. We celebrate the anomalies in the community, Black men and women with no children over age the age of 25 or those who had children in a marriage. Based on the sample size of the show, women and men with no children over 25 appear to be true unicorns in our community. 7. Brandon received an overwhelming amount of support and compassion from the men regarding his weight, I have yet to see this for women of the same size or similar. Not sure why this is the case. 8. I am convinced that every Black person has an FBI gene in their body cause y’all don’t miss a thing in the comments 😂. If there are any graduate students watching this show, the data would be a great paper and quite interesting!! Ok bye ✌🏾😉🤭

Jerome is from Detroit, and we have the gamut of black people here, so it's not uncommon to find well-educated black people here that are pro black. I think black people in other cities are used to a very limited type of black person, but in Detroit you can go into a courtroom where the defendant, both attorneys, the bailiff, the court reporter, and the judge are all black. Almost everybody in my immediate family was delivered by black people also. Jerome speaks how the educated class of black America USED to speak, but now the Pookie class has become dominant in black America and even the educated black people are afraid of being called lame. Good for your Jerome for not changing to fit a stereotype.

I'm still watching the replay so haven't got to this bit but as a black person who has lived in Africa, Britain (born and raised) and America I wouldn't go as far as to say skin color is the *only* thing in common between any Africans and AA or any groups of black people, there are definitely some overlaps. But I do agree each have their own distinct culture and definitely aren't the same people. But for the younger generations of more cosmopolitan/ richer Africans, they are very much influenced by AA culture and to a lesser extent the reverse is true too.

It is your job to sell yourself, put your best foot forward and make sure your good qualities out weigh the bad by a mile. If my wife had told me on our first date that she was incredibly selfish and bad with money, we wouldn’t have married 25yrs ago and have two beautiful kids. If she knew I wanted kids and she couldn’t have any (or vice versa) that’s something you let out up front. If you have a communicable disease or you’re dying in a few years, you let that be known up front. Depression that you’ve already addressed? Don’t “block your blessings” for that. You have a high body count? Don’t shoot yourself in the foot for that. It’s as if people have gotten so comfortable with sharing so much of their lives online that they don’t understand discretion and that there is a time and place for every thing. Give someone a chance to get to know you. Sure you might have an onlyfans, but if those talents can be put to use for the man you want and you can cook and you’re good with money, and and and and and….you don’t know what can be overcome. My wife will tell you that I dont’ think people can change. It’s not that, you have to DEMONSTRATE change and growth every day. Don’t keep repeating bad habits.

Am I missing something about Kenyeal? She said that she loves the lord, divorced her husband of 8 years with 3 kids in September, she is wife material not girlfriend or side piece BUT declined to answer the question about when she was last intimate. Seems inconsistent. It's not impossible but highly improbable to find a single marriage minded guy above 6'3" who's willing to settle down with a woman with 3 kids including a 1 and 2 yr old.
