Union Pacific E9 Cheyenne Frontier Days Train 2015 4K

Here's a video of The 24th Union Pacific/Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days Train. I was fortunate to ride the train and also chased from Greeley to Cheyenne for the deadhead move on Sunday. There's no UP 844 Steam Locomotive for this time and 2014 but I heard she will be back in 2016.
Many thanks to Union Pacific, Denver Post, Cheyenne Frontier Days and those who kind to me while I was on the train or CFD. I had a fantastic time there.

Damn!! Some serious EMD motive power right there!! Two E9s, a 'B' unit and a DD40X Centennial, that whole set must be easily crankin' 10,000 horsepower!!! Great video, thanks for sharing!!!

Now this Brings back some incredible memories... I grew up about two miles away from the Cheyenne Train Depot and had managed the Majestic Building on the corner of 16th and Capitol Ave.. I am old enough to remember the tracks that ran down the alley between 15th and 16th Street and the Two Viaducts on Central Avenue... I seen the passenger trains die... cabooses and be replaced by a light box.. and much more...to have climbed all over 4004 before it was fenced in..

Last winter i spent alot time in Cheyenne. Me and wife went to mall, ate dickies bbbw and my train addiction watching UP at yard. Another fantastic video Snuffy~

Actually I heard that the E units can't pull no more than 10-12 cars loaded. So they needed the extra power. Personally, I would have had the Centennial leading, but thats just me.
