How to Remove IS250 Navigation Radio | Center Console | 2006-2013 Lexus IS350 IS-F

In this video we will remove the navigation unit, climate control, and radio from a 2007 Lexus IS250 but should be the same for all 2IS from 2006 to 2013. This is a tricky removal if you don't want to destroy your dash. There are some tricks to remove the vent without damaging anything (if it wasn't previously damaged). It just takes some patience.

You mentioned the dashboard cover getting sticky. Our service advisor was on the ball and got all of our soft rubber pieces on the dash and door replaced from a Lexus technical service bulletin. Also got our engine rebuilt (to an extent) because of another TSB saying that if lower than normal compression was detected, Lexus would rebuild the engine, (free of course). Our advisor was great finding these little things he could do for us.

Hack.. at 5;20 when removing the vent, pull down tab stick a toothpick in it to hold it down, i used a pulley claw to pinch the middle where the fan flaps are than pull back to remove the vent housing worked thanks for the video😎

Hello, I vinyl wrapped my centre console and ashtray. When I went to put it back together, the ashtray now sits higher than the centre console. Any tips to get it level again? Thanks

You check if there are wires wedge or causing it to site high? The ashtray fits snug and has the two screws.

Hey, I removed my nav unit for some work and it's been out of the car a while and now when I went to refit it, I just cannot seem to find a connector in the cars wiring loom that connects to the 12pin white connector on the cd changer (the white 12pin one in the middle of the three white connectors in the cd changer) I just cannot remember if anything was plugged in to this at all in the first place. The connector J53 for the clock and display is the only 12 pin connector. Do you recall if that middle connector on the cd changer has anything plugged in? Any idea what exactly this connector on the cd changer is? Thanks

Some of the connectors aren’t used. Some jump between radio and NAV only. Be careful as there are two exactly same plugs (side plug) that you might accidentally switch up.

@@TunerwithKids yes so it seems the only 12pin connector I have belongs to the side connector which is for the airbag, hazard and clock display unit. This same connector fits the cd changer 12pin connector too but I'm sure this connector belongs to the side connector because I remember this connector being on the side. But the 12pin on the cd changer itself I just cannot find a 12pin connector for it.

Is your NAV blank and side buttons not working? If so they motherboard is broken and can’t be fixed.

Yes it will be fine. It’s just for the illumination on the dial.

Hello Lexus lovers... i have this issue with the audio, it won't turn on, am/ fm, bolume from the stering wheel . audio just won't turn on... I already checked fuses and looks OK, what could it be the problem???

Any issues with the infotainment screen? Did you check the amp in the trunk side? Water can get in there from side vents deteriorating which will kill amp.

My right vent is broken. Must have happened when the guy I bought it from was installing the POS cheapo Chinese infotainment system. This thing sucks, luckily he kept the OE set up. I gotta put the OE back in now.
