I had issues with me being a heavy handed git and pressing the melee button whilst trying to aim mid gunfight, the swap to tactical was a massive game changer for me

@@benben6054 I also tried that didn't help me at all, so I decided to plug my mouse and keyboard in to the xbox which is where I'm most comfortable as I'm an old git and always played pc until the last 3 years when I switched to console. Anyway no more heavy thumb issue and I'm just better at m. And k so double win for me. ✌️

I was a prioritize reload guy for a while but prioritize interact is the only option. It makes so many plays so much easier. Specifically a lot of vehicle play. The ability to hop in that much quicker is great for teamplay, and the ability to 3 tap (what K+M players call the EEE) to quickly get out and call an exfil in and get back in almost instantly will save your life. For quick c4 detonate you should just have it off in all scenarios. If you want to quick detonate, double tap reload. It's faster and has no animation. I can't get rid of reload/interact button on one of my 4 paddles. Jump and dive are also nailed in. And I really like having weapon swap there too for swapping and plating. I would like backpack and ping too but I don't know if I can prioritize them over the others. Especially since I have the muscle memory for them already.

@@SiNisterFPS No problem. Some of it is definitely personal preference but I thought that would be a good tip for everyone. It is so much faster to blow up a single one and it gives you the option to wait and set 2 if you want, for setting up a MRAP or helo trap lol.

I have been running the PS5 dual sense edge with the paddles and like it but I been eyeing up these aim controllers up with double paddles. I paid 200$ for the PS5 controller and built a custom one on the aim website for just over 200$ with digital buttons and triggers and all the jazz. Thanks SIN✌🏻

I know not everyone can afford one, but the custom controller I have has come in clutch with the paddles on the back. Really frees up my thumb for other, simultaneous action buttons.

I love my Elite Series 2 controller. I use basically all default xbox settings, but have my toggles adjusted tighter and my aim/fire on the highest settings on the little switches on the back so the triggers only have about 1/8-1/4" of travel in order to aim and fire. (Don't have to squeeze the triggers all the way to aim and fire) has like a little stopper so the triggers are super short.

Other way to test the deadzone values is going to any weapon tune slider. Start from 0.00 and bump it until the sliders don’t move alone.

I'm speccing out an AIM controller at the moment. What's the best way to get the spider action configured, or does it matter at all? - the default is A/B/X/Y.

that is the default and should be ok. Mean you can jump, crouch, reload and switch weapons, on PS5 version you can change them around but I think that is a PS5 thing only maybe. If you are on PC, you can also use sofware like DS4windows to map buttons and make X for example the up button.

I like the vibration on the new controllers it's another question fir me that I'm taking contact and how heavy the incoming rounds are because I can't hear well enough to know a sniper from another gun for example. But I can "feel" how hard the impact is.

MW2 is my first FPS game and I started on m&k. I’m making the transition to controller because I’m tired of working twice as hard in every close-mid range fight because I don’t have the game guiding my aim and keeping me on target. My biggest issue is that I feel like long range sniping is almost impossible compared to m&k. Do you have any tips for that?

That is one of the negatives about controller though not impossible, you just need to practice and use the sticks enough to have the control etc. the more you play with them, the better you will get at longer ranges

Personally i have a series 2 elite controller that ive had for years now and playing without paddles now is kind of a difficult thing for me because I have it mapped so i dont have to take my hands off the triggers and it affects my movements and lethal and tacticals

I have been playing since the cod4 days and seems I’m in the minority of players still using the old school L1/R1 as my aim/fire setup, I don’t find it comfortable using the triggers even with changing the trigger sensitivity it feels a lot smoother and faster the old school way, is there a reason you prefer the triggers I’m interested to know?

I would use L1 and R1 if the R2 and L2 triggers didn't have the smart triggers which makes them instant clicks. So feel nice and comfortable for me to use them and don't have to press them that much for them to activate

How are the grips on these controllers for sweaty hands? The only thing I like about my Series 2 Elite controller is that my hands don’t sweat haha

The grips for the ps5 version feel great for me, no sweaty hands but everyone is different etc

I had nothing but trouble with the Elite Series 2. I went through about 10 of them and they all had issues with stick drift and the thumbstick getting stuck slightly off center leading to drift when the thumbstick was on the lowest tension setting. I picked up a Scuf Instinct Pro controller and it's probably the best controller I've ever used. The rear buttons are amazing (after a little getting used to) and the build quality feels premium and I've had zero issues with stick drift in the 2 months I've had it so far. It is WAY better than the Elite controllers in my opinion. Thanks for the settings guide. I want to experiment with the ADS multiplier as I have always kept it at 100%.

Yeah my scuff felt great, be interested how well its going after 6 months. This was when mine broke which was savage. So far with Aim, its been 4 months and no wear and tear

My son has right hemiplegic cerebral palsy (paralyzed down his right side) he uses a standard Xbox controller for all his gaming one handed, do you know anyone else who plays like that and if so do they or you have any tips to play? That is a huge thing to be able to play with 1 hand, hats off to your son for being a legend. I am trying to figure out if there is anything I can suggest, had a little google and research but couldn't find anything too useful. WIth his right side, is there any movement in say thumbs to be able to move a analog stick? One thought is using a 1 handed analogue stick, example like a Nintendo switch can do. Quick tip for spawn ammo put max so u have the max ammo possible. Also turn on spawn A.I on death keeps the bots coming in asap

You can do when using software like DS4windows, which is great at remapping the standard buttons around, which means you can basically remap the padles on the back and have different profiles for it

@@Zionwolves I don't use anything else with my Aim PS5 controller. When I was on stream, I made sure that I went to steam settings, controller and made sure that controller support is enabled and also Playstation support is enabled. ON Bnet it just worked without anything

So, basically, you either spend money for custom controller, or you can spend around the same amount of money to get one of those paid custom-made hacks. Either way you are getting aim assist. It honestly would be better if PC players could disable crossplay so that console players would compete in their own yard, whose aim-assist is stronger.

Not really, if you are salty about aim assist then I suggest you don’t play any of the current AAA games and play PC only games. Xdefiant also has input based matchmaking and coming out soon.

I just dont agree with this encouragement. This encourages people to try too hard at a G.A.M.E. drop shots, jumping about essentially abusing the movement mechanics in order to win a gun fight instead of just playing and allowing situational awareness and muscle memory. Theres no need to sweat, its ment to be recreational ffs.
