I've watched this video several times as I decide on purchasing the U50 DS - great video. I'm curious about the blur box on the swiss made on your Submariner - trying to undderstand the need for that.

Are you sure this is antimagnetic up to 1,000 gauss?

Sinn list this as DIN 8309 compliant, which means a minimum of 4800 a/M or about 60 Gauss. While the U50 shares a lot of specs with the 856 UTC (reviewed in a different video), which is indeed guaranteed to 80K a/M or about 1005 Gauss, the U50s do not seem to be explicitly listed with this rating. I will reach out to Sinn and see if/how they respond, but you may be right and this may prove to be incorrect. Thank you for bringing this up

Isn't that Rolex Sub also 41mm?

Great question! The one used in the video is ref. 114060, which Rolex listed as 40mm. That reference uses the so-called "maxi case" profile, which forsakes the tapered lugs of prior models in exchange for boxier ones, thus appearing larger than it really is. A newer version of this watch, which is ref. 124060 is offered as a 41mm (the case grew a bit while the lugs got a bit more taper).
