Beautiful song, beautifully sung -- THANK YOU bbyitstrish! We ARE all sinners saved by grace. In John 8 Jesus responded to the Pharisees & teachers of the law who wanted to stone to death a woman caught in sin of adultery, "Let him/her who is without sin among you cast the first stone." Of course all of the woman's accusers went away . . . and the only righteous one who could blame her was the Lord Jesus, yet He did not condemn her but told her to go and SIN NO MORE. I must respectfully partiallay disagree with Ashley Silva below. As long as my spirit (sinful soul) dwells within my physical body on this earth . . . I AM a sinner saved by God's grace alone through Jesus' unconditional & unmerited love for me when He died in my place and for my sins, which makes me JUSTIFIED. SANCTIFICATION is an ongoing process of striving to be(come) more like my Savior, which regular refreshment & filling with the Holy Spirit helps -- but like D.L.Moody said, "I leak." It is not until I die that I will receive a GLORIFIED body (becoming like Jesus) and my desire & bondage to sin will leave me and I can say that I WAS a sinner saved by grace. Yes I love & want to please God now, but I still am prone to engage in and desire sin.

As Christians we are NOT sinners saved by Grace. We WERE sinners saved by Grace but there has been a Spiritual metamorphosis and have gone from a caterpillar to a butterfly. We can not go back and are not "sinners saved by Grace". The song sounds pious but is in conflict with the Scriptures. It's not semantics - we are a new creation. 2 Cor. 5:17.Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Vilnis, If you want to believe you're "a sinner saved by grace" then you can continue to believe that. It is not what the Bible says and you are disagreeing with God, not me. Please take it up with Him. There is nothing more I can show you that will change your mind - it's only the Holy Spirit that changes minds anyway. Blessings.

I don't understand why you want to take out one sentence from the song and then add another meaning to it, that don't work that way, sorry. Stop accusing the song if the problem is you understanding it not the song itself. By the way, I agree with that person, who I quoted that we are just start getting transformed and this process will go on till the time He comes to take us away... Indeed, we are in the process, we are not perfect, only our Saviour Jesus Christ is.

It is me who should ask you what has been teaching you or where have you learned all this because it is not what christian theologists and most pastors are teaching about. Can I ask what church or organization do you attend to?
