Honestly, this and Gruesome are a breath of fresh air to death metal. I'm sick of all of these generic tech death bands that are more focused on making how to sweep pick DVD's than writing actual songs. Major kudos to these guys.

Been waiting on this for a while and to me it's the most legit thing he's done in a while. This is black metal for sure so unsure why it's being lorded as 'death' and with that in mind I can't wait to hear more. I really dig this song, it's a grower and it's simple so catchy (IF you like that sort of BM and you're not looking for the next Slipknot radio friendly unit shifter) and to the point... I like it. To me, Joey is irreplaceable. Like John Bonham. Saw him w/ Slipknot about 4x's. Can't remember. Played @ Denver Coliseum w/ Slayer, American Head Charge, and I think , Today's the Day. Anyway, Joey did a drum solo that I really can't describe! Other worldly. I'll never forget it! Tremendous loss. Being a "hack" drummer myself, his death really devastated me. I'm not a Korn fan. But his Slipknot/Sinsaenum music will be w/me until I check out of this world. Keep it real, people!

Joey left Slipknot to make a fucking goth band where every member looks like him. I think this is outstanding and it's only the first 46 seconds I've ever listened to from this band. This is the first song I've seen him play where he's not death kicking the base.

well, he was the third member and the first guy Clown and Paul called up. Id say he is a co-founder. Joey was in the band before they even had a guitar player. It wasn't really a band up to the point Joey Joined. If it said "Co-founder Corey Taylor or Chris Fehn" then you would have a point but Joey is in the original 3.

+Jairaj Music The creators of what was to become Slipknot were Anders Colsefni, Shawn Crahan, Paul Gray, and Patrick Neuwirth. But that band wasn't known as Slipknot at the time. They went by various names. And even broke up several times. They settled on Slipknot in 1995 and by that time Joey was already in the band. So I guess he can labeled as co founder. Seeing as the previous band technically wasn't Slipknot.

A lot of fun these comments are why the metal community makes me cringe. Haters with superiority complexes who talk shit to hide their fragility regarding opinions. Joey is a beast and supremely distinct to many who started listening to metal through different eras, outlets, etc. Slipknot haters were a perfect example of pretentious bias to something new and different.
