Sinuses due to a mechanical issue in the neck

Not all sinus complaints are allergic or infectious.
Some of them are neurogenic in nature. The trigeminal nerve supplying the sinuses becomes hypersensitive and reacts to all different things, such as allergens, temperature changes, pressure changes, use of CPAP, etc. The upper cervical nerves (in the neck) through Trigemino-cervical complex in the brainstem, may affect the functioning of the trigeminal nerve and other nerves supplying the sinuses. This may be the biological explanation of why corrective neck exercises may influence sinus symptoms via changing the sensitivity of the nerves. Once the mechanical issue in the neck is corrected, the sensitivity of the nerves supplying the sinuses decreases and thereby its symptoms.

I have had very bad sinuses with ringing in the ears for past 19 years I’m 48 now still got it no better

The exercises can be found all over KZbin. I started physical therapy at the advised of a ENT doctor who told me my sinuses came from a neck issue not an actual sinus issue and I have been grateful to her for sending me to therapy, it has been the best thing.

Hello to everyone who is still waiting for an answer. I had terrible sinus congestion and pain. My teeth felt like they would fall off and my cheekbones hurt so badly when I came across this video. There is no exercise here that helps, but it’s certainly our posture and being on the phone. I did this one exercise that helped so much. I was back to normal in one day!! I had been so terribly congested that when I bent down, I could feel the liquid or mucus in my brain!!! I couldn’t eat a lot. I couldn’t sleep well.
