The majority of my program was during the peak of covid.. as a new tech (whos rotations were limited AND positioning classes 98% online) i am sooo grateful for these videos

On the Caldwell view, we angle the tube about 15 degrees caudad to place the petrous ridge about 1/3 of the lower orbit, the straight shot will be like the PA skull which will place the petrous ridge filling out the orbits. Since sinuses are the case here, with no tube angulation, wouldn't be the case to tuck in the patient's head instead of up a bit to make up for the straight shot tube and that way place the petrous ridge at 1/3 of the lower orbits? thanks, I love your videos by the way.

for sinuses you don't angle because you are looking for air fluid levels. We have the patient bring head back 15 degrees to put the petrous ridges in lower 1/3 of orbits.

I like your video in general, but for this one why you did not move bucky (up) to correspond your central to the center of the bucky?

Michael 21 I think he used a 10x12 cassette and that would be placed higher inside the bucky and not at the center; so he's actually placing the head within the frame of the 10x12 cassette.

At water is view should open mouth for patients

what you talk about is another projection, that is the open-mouth waters method. they are different. open-mouth water is a good alternative to demonstrate the sphenoid sinuses for patients who cannot perform the SMV position.
