I suffered with blocked nose and very loud snoring for years before going to my doctor about it. Turned out that I had a deviated septum. I had surgery to correct that and after a miserable week or two while recovering my breathing was much improved.

I had chronic sinusitis for a decade. I also have asthma. It became worse the last couple of years because the post nasal drip would cause me to have stomach issues. This past may, I developed a dry cough. I finally got diagnosed and four rounds of antibiotics did the trick! I cleared the rest out with allergy meds and mucinex. I also found a cough syrup in Canada called Benylin that works wonders!

I have had this for 3 years now, in my teens to early 20's. I get surgery in a month or two. I could possibly lose an eye because my maxillary sinuses are completely blocked. I hope this wont be the case. I have a deviated septum as well, but i need the surgery as the infection and buildup could spread or cause damage to the eye and rarely in some cases the brain.

@oscatMeow

@@undead_emm2906 Funny you ask that, i had it around 10-11 hours ago now! Apparently went perfect, it’s not all that painful but very uncomfortable. feeling pretty congested and i’m not having fun but before that and after i got into the recovery room. i could feel so much air hitting my nose and throat. if its close to that after recovery it’ll be well worth it I had my first panic attack ever though, i got home and felt my vision blur and got sensitive to light etc etc. I felt like i was dying. Apparently panic attacks can be intense, but apparently the anesthetic and just general trauma to the body can trigger it more often.

Have had chronic stuffy nose for 4 years. Told it was deviated septum… got the surgery and nothing improved. Got my turbinates reduced… no improvement. Told it’s likely new allergies as surgery won’t do anything going forward except to reduce the turbinates even more. I’ve had season allergies my whole life but nothing like this. Going to get allergy shots next week and try that for a year to see if that improves… My symptoms, my nose is so stuffy ALL the time. Especially my left nostril gets so bad it blocks my right nostril and my throat. Even sitting sets off my nose to get stuffy. Only thing that helps is intense exercise or just standing and moving. Holding heavy thing with my right hand actually helps clear up my left nostril. I get occasional moments when I can breath maybe 20% through both my nostrils but sleep is a nightmare especially with 2 kids under 2… my marriage is suffering because I’m constantly feeling like I suffocating just trying to breath and my mood is just awful these past 4 years. Saying im desperate is an understatement. Saline, nasal massage and even afrin don’t work anymore… my dumb nose developed a resistance to it all and Im feeling like there is no cure. If allergy shots don’t work, I will just remove my turbinates… f it Anyone else having the same symptoms? Idk how allergy shots will help me when sitting or being stagnant is what’s really triggering. I’ve lived in Northern Virginia and then moved to Colorado with the purest air and still no improvement. I’m in Hell…. Someone recommended something PLEASE

I have had daily nasal congestion for 4 years now. It happened after my dog peed on the carpet while I was sleeping so I didn't get it cleaned in time. It was only this one accident though, is it really that causing my congestion? I mean I never had any issues before, my nose became congested around a month after the accident. Seems to me it's the issue but why?. I went to an ENT in 2020 which was 2 years into the suffering and the ENT said he saw nothing wrong. But when I look in the mirror I can see inside my right nose looks almost shut compared the my left side. Ears are also crackling too and always feel full. I get no relief from sprays, supplements or antihistamines. Literally nothing helps me and I'm getting tired of it
