I don't know what the people on that pathway were thinking. If I heard a beautiful voice like hers coming my way I'd stop dead in my tracks and then follow her like she was the Pied Piper as she passed.

Down the street the dogs are barkin' And the day is a-gettin' dark As the night comes in a-fallin' The dogs 'll lose their bark And the silent night will shatter From the sounds inside my mind As I'm one too many mornings And a thousand miles behind From the crossroads of my doorstep My eyes start to fade And I turn my head back to the room Where my love and I have laid And I gaze back to the street The sidewalk and the sign And I'm one too many mornings And a thousand miles behind It's a restless hungry feeling That don't mean no one no good When ev'rything I'm a-sayin' You can say it just as good You're right from your side I'm right from mine We're both just one too many mornings And a thousand miles behind

Great voice, great mood set in motion. And a great production also: what an unbelievable autumn day with white water in Glasgow. Certainly the camera team would not have had a second chance. How often did they try? What could have happened - and certainly did?

By the river Kelvin, Glasgow. The bridge is the Kelvin way Bridge, designed in 1912 by Alexander Beith McDonald.

Dylan needs a reference here. It’s his song. Always will be.

Dylan can't sing though. He would never sound this good.
@MarlboroughBlenheim14 жыл бұрын
C Davies Lazy comment. He can sing. He sings different ways on different albums. Listen to I threw it all away or lat lady lay - sings as well as any pop star. He chose to sing differently on other albums as he’s a complex and serious artist. To say someone can’t sing who has been a leading force in popular music for 50 years is a non sequitur.

@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 dylan used 3 scotttish melodies in his sangs. the walls of redwing..road and the miles to dundee......farewell angelina.......farewell to tarwathie........a hard days rain.....lord randall

@@brucecollins641 yeah, but he used his own words. There were many variations of old folk melodies. But only Dylan wrote this song.
@brucecollins641 Жыл бұрын
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 jist that you stated nobody referenced dylan but nobody referenced the melodies being of scottish origins. bob dylans was ispired by rabbie burns, woody guthrie was also an admirer of burns. bob dylan stated the song that influenced him most was burns sang....my love is like a red red rose.
