Spectacularly brilliant transition track between Juju and Dreamhouse. ❤

The dark soul of pop on display here the Banshees looked so strange and alluring yet her look was one that inspired the generation of 76. John the guitarist at the time was one of the most brilliant guitarists of his generation RIP.

She was the epitome of image to match her performances. No coincidence that the likes of Madonna and Gaga go all-out in much the same way. Fact is Siouxsie was already there and the ORIGINAL only to be copied by those who get the credit and plaudits 😢

This fab group occupied a universe all of their own,where the only woman was a sex clad spiky hair goddess and all the men wore make up.God I miss this band.

I saw this episode of Top of the pops as a kid and rushed out the next day to buy the Fireworks gatefold 7" single. My first ever Siouxsie purchase. I'd soon own their entire back catalogue & buy every new release upon its release date. This Fireworks appearance is the origin of my lifelong Sioux obsession. They almost lost me with their Dear Prudence cover. I couldn't stand that.

Even mentioning Clash in this thread is an insult. Siouxsie had everything. They didn't do political BS because that shite doesnt even matter to real people in the long term. Clash are SO dated and irrelevant. Siouxsie is eternal.
@kalevala293 жыл бұрын
they started at the same time but their is no comparison. the Banshees were exotic, dark and mysterious. the Clash appealed to a different sort of music lover. both great bands though.
