Jayne Mansfield was a huge movie star in the movie Kiss them for me. Pink champagne filled fountains, heart shaped swimming pool, pink poodles, pink Cadillac and a pink mansion on Sunset Boulevard. Jayne died today June 29th 1967 age 34 in a terrible car accident. What a beautiful haunting tribute to her this song is. RIP JAYNE 💖💖💖

I love this band.So original , so outrageous ! Who combines an accordian with a synthesizer? Truly an original band, they don't GAF what the music trends are, they create their own.

Very artistic muy original although it's a take off Louie Armstrong 💪 sang this in 1958 + Jack Teagarden ( and his Attention Deficit Disorder Band -Not). Siouse makes it seem like 20s. Must have been a 78RPM disc? "Kiss Them For Me" seems crazy -fresh compared to the opener. Even her fashion her wardrobe is synonymous with 1920s flapper style. She's so in between flapper rapper .hmm mm hnm. 🍔💋🍟🍸.

Brad Ozarko I wish all artists thought like that , if they were all original and not commercial crap music would be better ! Most 80's artists did their own thing and look how great 80's music is.....

As a modern filmmaker, I have to say that now that I am going back, and having a Siouxsie "flashback" if you would, ALL of Siouxsie's videos are SO well done, in fact, best of the MTV era, although there was a lot of great material from that time. More entranced than ever before, I would have to say! SO hot!

Kiss them for me. I was in fourth grade. Luckily my mother indulged me. We went to the only good record store in North Dakota, Fargo. 😂 She bought me all the banshee records and for good measure the B-52s. My mom made a lot of mistakes but this act alone sealed her awesome mothering in my mind.

The video work in these videos is ABSOLUTELY amazing! This is a direct example of how all the modern technology DOES NOT beat the work they did in these days with the cameras and technology they had then. It is an artist's interpretation that you CAN'T HAVE with your "smart" phone that puts artists such as these out of business. ARE YOU SEEING THESE RESULTS WITH YOUR GODDAMNED "SMART PHONE"? Then WHY are photographers put out of business then?

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet, but the Beasties sampled this on the Tibetan Freedom Concert version of "Root Down," with either a sample Schooly D's "P.S.K. - What Does It Mean" or a Siouxsie and The Banshees sample who sampled Schooly D for the beginning/"The New Style." They also sampled The Shadows' "Apache", which Sugar Hill Gang also sampled, for the Root Down hook.
@johnnytluxury8 жыл бұрын
+EmceE2/D.J. So-Gnar Good ear/eye. It was Siouxsie that sampled PSK and Beatsies sampled it also. I noted that the Banshees owed ALOT to hip hop and the heavy use of sampling. I used to tell that to the Goth kids that believed Siouxsie was an entirely original concept, and had in now way been affected by hip hop, not taking anything away from the group, I loove them. But facts are facts.

I only saw them in "Out of Bonds", performing Cities in Dust. I understand her face traits need indeed, special angle shooting. Furthermore, The Banshees were so good, they wouldn't probably have time for participating in movies, (plus her swastika, and the declarations she gave..) [I knew of them when I watched the 1991 video on MTV, and even inspired me to depict her, many a time: "m00nstrum" on Deviant Art.com]. Now I think I was obsessed with Gladiator's Photography Director's result :-

maravilloso y fascinante... siouxie & the banshees!

Peepshow, creepshow Where did you get those eyes? Strobe lights pump and flicker Dry lips crack out for more "Come bite on this rag doll, baby!
