+Rene Capone I want that exact production/audio style of rendering/meshing/channeling her vocal w/ the music to be duplicated on future studio recordings. It sounded special, otherworldly, and really complemented her voice. It seems she's been good at that since 1978...one of the (many) reasons we love her. I think you might end up loving the sophomore solo era of Siouxsie Sioux's musical career, as well, in the hopefully near future. Good comment!

She rocks my universe - and I like her voice - "It's lived in" - It might even be better now.

This one of the best recordings audio wise out there on the internet. She's illusive and not promoting herself and I kind of love her for it. She remains a very "special artist." Her legacy is fascinating

If 2015's "Love Crime" is anything to go by, Siouxsie showed us that she can indeed still deliver something special even if her voice isn't what it once was. At the very least Siouxsie probably has several albums worth of older material that's never seen the light of day. Be it new recordings or gems from the vault, don't be surprised if we haven't heard the last of Siouxsie Sioux! It would be just like her to rise from the ashes when we least expect it.

What a waste, the image is distorted, it was uploaded on the 16:9 format, whereas the concert was originally shot in the 4:3 format with the camrecorder . Result, the image here is stretched horizontally. A weird sight.

this performance is great. obviously after a life of punk a and dark live gigs her voice has set on a lower range and old songs look a bit off tune. time strikes hard on everyone and life is what it is. we love you darling queen.

+ivorytower99 The truth is this: Live singing and constant studio recording since 1976 consistently; fronting 2 different bands; smoking, then quitting twice, ulcerative colitis, then suffering from bouts of asthma, bronchitis, and multiple sinus infections, and the subsequent nasal surgeries in the 2000s (during the Hai and Dreamshow era) to fix/correct the damage mostly due to her being an unfortunate part of the 10-15% of former smokers whose bodies suffer adverse consequences from quitting (subsequently forcing them to rely on nicotine in the forms of patches and gum), along w/ natural aging/vocal fold deterioration has (so unfortunately and sadly) reduced Siouxsie's range since the very late 1990s. Since 2004, Sioux has worked w/ a vocal coach to help her protect/strengthen her voice, which has gotten darker, deeper, and a good deal less flexible when singing in her classic higher register...her mid-range, and, esp. her low-range are still intact (2014's "Love Crime" illustrate her continued ability in using those two ranges). Truthfully, it pains me sometimes to hear what isn't always/usually there, but, w/ continued practice and the greatly needed time of rest, I think we'll get a second Siouxsie LP in the future that will (hopefully) sit comfortably next to her noble, wild discography. BTW, the audio on this recording is excellent. I wish I had a CD of this concert, since I was very curious about this concert, since all we the public saw was a sampling of "Here Comes That Day" in 2007 online. Thank you again, TravisBickle1963, you made my late night. Again, I hope we get sonic tones like the best parts of this performance in 2017.

Her voice has been shot since the late '90s onward. Saw her during the Peepshow tour in '88 - Amazing! Saw her during the Superstition tour in '92 - Amazing! Saw her during The Rapture tour in '95 - not so amazing. '95 is when the voice trouble began and it's just gotten worse over time. I very much doubt she'll ever do another album.

@@trevl8955 I also saw the Peepshow tour (only time for SATB) and saw The Creatures a few years later. When I tried to watch the Dreamshow video her voice was so out of tune that I couldn't make it through the whole video. It was too painful. Sad.

@@timmiller1954 What's really sad is that she didn't know when to pack it in and just stop. I saw SATB one final time in the U.S. when they all decided to reunite in 2002 for the Seven Year Itch tour. It was an abysmal disaster in my opinion. The live CD and DVD of that tour was just as cringe-worthy as being there.

Sioux always had vocal issues, it doesn't make me love her any less! She does seems to spark more on the newer material though, as would any artist! One has to remember WHO she is to appreciate her. A blazing maverick of original art who was not supposed to go farther than the 20 minutes given in 1976. What came were monumental recordings to be unmatched by anyone. At the 7 Year Itch tour in Roseland NY, they were loud and abrasive, just like their start! People will choke me for this, but the earlier years she just did a lot of yelping with her voice, until she actually learned what to do with it. Most people practice and practice their sound, while she and the Banshees just marched ahead and learned by first being onstage.
