Wow amazing history of the steel for this bottle. Very moving. I have taken the tour of the 9/11 museum when visiting Manhattan - love the city!! Way to go on nosing/tasting MB!! Fabulous! Your sunflowers sound amazing! I get maple on this Bourbon! Yup to cut grass for sure Peter! I have had shots of wheat grass - does it help health?!! Hey it can be difficult to differentiate vanilla and maple! Love Pinot Mary-Bridget! Hey fascinating to do the mix!! You two rock! Wish we lived close! @@whiskeyisajourney Picked up a bottle early afternoon for $68.99. I got the cut grass, the caramel/vanilla... Plus cherries and cinnamon spice. Found it to be sweet, smooth and enjoyable. The high proof didn't bother me. Not as complex as a Larceny Barrel Proof, but a good one.

I wonder if the grass note is enjoyable to you and not to me due to it being similar to a rye whiskey? Thoughts? Is your bottle Kentucky distillate?

I bought this bottle as a vet who has also been to Afghanistan who wants to support fellow vets and their endeavors. The story behind it is also pretty cool with the Twin towers beam. I wasnt expecting much, but was really pleasantly surprised. To me, it tastes like eagle rare at 117 proof. Really yummy. Not sure if i have the older or newer bottle, but I like it. I think it should be priced more and on competition with Rare Breed though. A bit pricey for what it is. Especially since no taters are chasing it. In fact, I watch many bourbon hunts on KZbin in which people consistently dodge this bottle.

I do pick up a dusty smell in Jack, but I have not been able to identify it as peanuts, even though everyone says that’s what they smell.
