Beautifull!! My theory is: When you can handle and appreciate silences, the music becomes more directly into the heart.. Thank you!

Mark, you play the harp with the true spiritual annointing. I wouldn't be surprised if Angels gather to listen to you whilst you play...it truly is beautiful.

Thank you for uploading this tune! I had the dots to it, but it did not make sens to me until I heard you play it. Now I always come back to this video and am amazed again at the beauty of the tune and your interpretation of it! Thanks again and happy harping, Mary

Your playing of the Ravenna harp utterly disproves the myth that only the most expensive harp will do. It's all about the connection between the harpist and the tune. Another winner, Mark!

WOW that was absolutely amazing. The precise control you display over each note and how fluidly you blend them together is just incredible. If I were to envision Taliesin himself playing his harp it would sound like this. You are a true Bard!

I love this piece, it sounds as if the music is reflecting upon itself during the pauses. Mesmerizing.

Lovely! I Like the shortened end of some phrases where they're stopped. Didn't really notice much till it was said above. Interesting interpreted symbologies w/in meanings of why.

That's a really interesting comment - and in my experience, absolutely hit the nail on the head. If you are willing to let the music breathe, then it's working. I notice when I'm not quite connected, I rush and cut things short.

@gtuneit Good point. I think of them as instructions for the performer to pause - maybe more of a visual thing than an audible thing. Yes, on the wire-harp they would be ringing for ever!

the silent is very impressing and says maybe more than notes - I think. Beautiful music played in a chruch which is a decent place for this melody

Wow that was amazing the pauses are great adding layers and thought but also a level of drama, do you mind me asking the specifics of that harp because it to performed great!

Beautiful as always and you look so serene and happy while playing. Did you do an entire concert? I'd love to see more if so. :-)

The fourth beats are not literally silent. The ring-on inherent in the wire strung harp, for which this was composed, would have filled that "silence". Even this nylon strung harp has enough sustain to be heard clearly on the pauses.

It is a wonderful tune, embracing the queen of all music: silence. . I wish I was your neighbour :o)
