A paranoid buffon who believed that Finland would join an alliance with Nazi Germany and thus launched a pre-emptive attack on the Finns. It's funny that Lee wanted to be Gandalf, because in the stories Gandalf was offered to be the leader of the wizard council, but did not desire to be, and it was offered to Saruman instead. Saruman greatly resented that he only got the job after Gandalf declined. It's not a perfect analogy, but I find it quite humorous.
