In my opinion Michael Gambon was badly miscast as Dumbledore. He was far too aggressive and didn't possess that grandfatherly feel that Dumbledore is meant to exude. I believe that either Patrick or Ian would have made a better job of it.
@PortooCalia4 жыл бұрын
@@animalfriend6413 I think Harry Potter was a disaster and too many good actors were wasted in the series, if it had been made properly and all the characters had had their fair share of screen time and development, it could have been great, but for the embarrassment that is called the HP movie series, it's better he weren't in it.
@AveSicarius4 жыл бұрын
@@Efeye-s Ian's Gandalf easily qualifies him as, I think, the best Dumbledore option around. I like Michael Gambon in a few films, and I did enjoy his Dumbledore as something quite different to the books, but he essentially refused to read the book or even further into the script and solely focused on how he wanted to portray his performance, which is why it is the way it is. Certainly his performance was good, objectively, but it didn't fit the role he was cast in. Richard Harris was a very good fit for the role and the first movie shows a Dumbledore closer to the books. But unfortunately projects based on literature often end up outside of the setting due to directorial influence, executive pressure (hello Hobbit being split into three movies), or simply the constraints of the movie format (time, production costs, etc) I'm not a huge fan of the HP series, I believe the only reason it was so successful was relative uniqueness at the time (the setting is now much too overused), so I enjoy the movies for what they are, an abridged version of the novels. This is why even though I have a great desire for the wheel of time, Brandon Sanderson's varying series, or the farseer series to be visualized in such a way, I'd rather it not happen then be given the game of thrones treatment.

There are terrible reasons why breeds like pitbulls end up in kill shelters because dog and cat breeds were bred for looks according to human standards(which is unnatural). So they end up having various health problems like hip problems, unable to breathe properly leading to high blood pressure problems like heart disease or like hypothyroidism...And the owners who were only in for the looks paid these breeders but when the pets start to get sick...those bastards left these poor animals at those kill shelters. Pitbulls are 1 of the most common 'breed' that end up in kill shelters as it's very popular for their looks.
