Thank you so much for putting this online Paul. Iv'e blubbed through most of it and that probably would not have made Sir Ken happy. I have seen Sir Kens live shows eight times over the years and he just cannot be replaced. He was the Jewel in the Crown of British comedy. Who is going to sort out my chuckle muscles now. I had so much hoped to see him again. He always left me feeling truly plumptious. Liverpool you have lost one of your greatest heros. RIP Sir Ken.

I found it very disrespectful when the media surrounded the hearse and were taking a lot of photo's, they needed to show some respect towards the family and friends of Sir Ken Dodd.

Hi, I created an account to make this reply, though I meant to join KZbin at some point..... I was in the cortege and was sitting in one of the cars being filmed in the beginning of the video. I know for a flat fact that neither myself or any of the family or friends felt intruded upon. We know that press and fans can be intrusive, but the people of Liverpool know that also and the whole occasion and the grim weeks preceding it was marked by deep respect for Ken which we all felt most keenly. It was very moving to see the lines of people clapping as the cortege rolled along after the horse drawn hearse, we felt the love. Thank you to all who came, or wanted to come and also those who stayed away thinking it best to give the family space. This was both Ken's final journey and final public appearance, I know he would have wanted to share that with the people of Liverpool.

Nerdy Tom R.I.P Sir Ken Dodd, he'll always be in our hearts, also if you was family member or a friend of Sir Ken Dodd I'm sorry for your lose
@nerdytom68816 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. As for my loss, I will miss Ken, but frankly it hasn't sunk in yet. Though to be fair he did so much in his life that while he fully intended to continue on had he recovered nobody can say he left anything undone or unsaid. His life was complete, I do not feel for a moment that his life was in any way wasted. Furthermore he had prepared his way forward, not that Ken showed any concern for his mortality, he was too busy living. Nevertheless Ken was very clear with regards to his Christian beliefs, which he put into practice, he was a genuinely humble and pious man and is now with his God, and knowing that takes the sting out of his passing.
