Sir Nigel Gresley Steam Train Through Dawlish with Ultra Slow-motion

Sir Nigel Gresley was the first steam locomotive to pass our first live camera back in 2014 and it’s great to see it running on our line again.
Sir Nigel Gresley passed through Dawlish on the 5th of August 2023. I shot this with my Canon R5 at 120fps and used AI technology to slow it down to 1000 FPS slow motion.

Beautiful A4s. Personally I like the look of Sir Nigel Gresley better than Mallard. You can actually see the mechanism in the whistles

What a brilliant effect. My eye/memory tries to do that when a steamer passes quickly. I have snapshots in my head of Mallard and Scotsman at speed, that I wish I could download.
