They are very sweet dogs. They just wont be too forgiving if a small child does something stupid to them. They don't mean to its just like a instinct reaction. That is not because they are in any a bad breed. All the incidents that happen involving these dogs are always due to bad parents and dog owners. Certain breeds are not ideal for small children if one is not a parent that is all over their childs entire day then these this is probably not the right choice of a dog for them. They are amazing dogs and its a shame so many were killed due to people being idiots.

It's amazing how a little love and gentle training reinforces a dogs need to show you how good they are. If I tell my Pitts that something is bad, they are horrified that it exists.
