Your hard work and achievement to date remains a great inspiration to this generation and that to come. I count myself privileged; as a young boy in the 70s, living opposite your residence at Ugoneki quarters of Benin city, witnessed your daily rehearsal, devotion, disciplined lifestyle and commitment to excellence to your profession and calling at Joromi hotel. In spite of your busy schedule, had time to play with your children. I am glad that your works are on display for all to see and learn from. God bless you greatly.

@@godfreypamosoo7216 I think we binis have been to greedy by enjoying the beautiful language and these wonderful arts alone. In this song he is talking about edo people questioning why he is no longer playing his old kind of songs, he Victor Uwaifo is telling the people that he loves his new sound but he is the same person that played the old good songs. He went ahead to say how about the people return to the life of the old? do everything they were used to in the old and use old house appliances and continue drinking old drinks instead of the new ones. There are some words of wisdom he used during the progression of the song i can't interpret all of them

It is a wonder that anyone is still alive in Benin city. Considering how they like using black magic on one another.
@keelecie3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, black magic is all over Nigeria, not just among Bini’s. In fact, it is present across West Africa and beyond. If you didn’t have anything better to say about this legendary song, you should have said nothing at all.
