What an incredible talent. When he said, "if it's not oil business in Nigeria, nobody cares." I saw the disappointment in his eyes. I was disappointed too. He could have done much more in a country that supports and build on citizens talent. Benin have always been great. It may not seem that way right now, but I am hopeful that in the nearest future, we will get back on that path of greatness. God willing, with the right leaders, we shall shine again.

I know Joromi was the first African song to top BBC music charts. It might also be the most remixed song ever. I have heard versions from different parts of the world.

God will not forgive Nigerian government for not recognizing and celebrating people like this. He said Nigerians don't celebrate anything if it is not oil. I am just speechless. I CELEBRATE YOU SIR. Nigerian writers or musicians would die and you will not here of the burial from government but when yeye old politician without good record dies you here state burial. BUT for the interviewer, you did an amateur work. you were supposed to use at least two cameras with tripod and auto boom mic. I AM PROUD TO BE AN EDO

We'd not be talking about legendary Sir Victor Efosa Uwaifo, MON. JP without the mention of one man who's of immense value to his musical exploits during the mid 80s. He's no other than the diminutive King Pago, he's by all standard an integral part of the maestro's band then...Taking a long trip down memory lane, I recall vividly back in the mid 80s on Joromi TV he's always the cynosure of all eyes on Sir Victor Uwaifo shows weekends, as young teens, we looked forward to seeing him perform his acrobatic dance steps on stage alongside the maestro himself... How time flies!
