When Jongho was talking about people not liking to hear him sing he was talking about when he was with Top Media Entertainment. Jongho started as a trainee there I think when he was around 12 or 13 years of age. So when his voice started to change they didn't know what to do with him. He had actually quit being a trainee as was going back to sports (his family is very sports orientated) when a friend suggested that he audition for KQ and the rest is history. I am thankful that his friend suggested that as Ateez wouldn't be the same without any of the members.

This is so cool rewatching this now after their new album came out and he got a solo emotional ballad song he was able to do what he wanted also yes i think Turbulence is their softest title track, the performance on its live showcased their vocals so well you can hear how different and unique everyones tones are, but ofcourse they have even more softer b-sides I can't wait for you to get to them!

You're going to love Turbulence! They have a few live recordings of it and it's soooooo good. One of my favorite songs - I will also add hearing this young man sing live felt like one of the biggest blessings in my life when I saw them in concert. He literally takes your breath away.

He has a solo song on their new album called Everything if you want to check that out. And if you want to hear some softer songs from Ateez as a group. I recommend: 1. The Letter 2. Be With You 3. ateez have some wonderful more slow emotional b-sides, and the song jongho was singing at the beginning is a wonderul emotional slow title track called turbulence. highly recommend! really shows of all their vocal tones so well

ahh you should definitely check out jongho's OST covers--theyre called jjongst and there are 5 of them so far. he also has some OSTs--Gravity, Wind, Fairy Tale of Youth. Gravity is probably the most well-known one from the Reborn Rich drama. He's also got a solo on the newest album called "Everything". So much jongho content waiting for you!!

One of my favorite solos' that Jongho sang is one of his OST's Gravity. Definitely recommend checking it out. Jongho has released 3 OST's and recently released a cover of Wildflower in October for his birthday which brought tears to my eyes! Hongjoong also recently performed on Lee Mujin Service

When Jongho said people like his voice for rock ballads, but he likes ballads, he wasn't saying he wanted to show a different side--he likes ballads and sings one every time he gets to do a solo 😊. The only Brian McKnight song I remember is One Last Cry because it was so popular. Whether or not you remember it, you need to listen to Pentagon's Jinho sing it (if you haven't yet). It's one of my favorite kpop covers along with Jinho's Gethsemane cover, Jongho's So You and Wildflower covers, and the Mayfly vocal unit's cover of Love Poem. I have always enjoyed Hongjoong's vocal tone. I'm not sure why he did Mujin's show rather than one of the other vocalists. Maybe he'd been working on expanding his vocal ability. My favorite cover from him is Lemon Tree on ATEEZ's channel. Most of the others have professional covers, except Yunho, so I really hope we get something like a Mujin Service from Yunho someday soon.

3:29 - I don't know if it's relevant or not but ateez has 4 extroverts and 4 introverts (wooyoung recently changed his MBTI to an I soo yeah 😂) it used to be: yunho, mingi, wooyoung and seonghwa (extroverts) hongjoong, san, yeosang, jongho (introverts) which for me is fascinating since they can balance each 😅other very well 😂😅 7:48 - ooh, ok, here we go: I think I'm absolutely obsessed with projects beyond their albums or promotional materials (don't get me wrong, they have an no-skip discography, especially the older ones), but since we've had so many powerful performances and hard-hitting choreography so many times It's common to get lost in some talents that ateez himself has, like their vocals, which you can find in special clips (this year and the last were packaged because of birthday presents for atinys), and from what I remember, Yunho hasn't had any content like this recently, but at least as a main dancer he's had more opportunities to showcase one of his talents (but we also dont know if he has been working on something and just didn't reveal yet!) Other than that, overall we got a decent amount, because we all know it's a bit tricky to distribute lines fairly across an album, but on the other hand that's 100% better with the recent albums, maybe about 2 years onwards!

turbulence is their only ballad type title track but they have some lovely ballad style B-sides like Be With You, Mist, Star 1117, and Jongjo’s solo on the new album Everything if you wanna check more of that out also if you love jongho’s voice, his performance of so you on immortal songs is my absolute FAVORITE vocal performance of hisss.

Also it’s true that we don’t get to hear him or the others sing like this on their tracks but their vocal line is extremely talented. If you wanna hear more of the others vocals there are covers like San’s Breathe, Yeosang’s Hug Me, Seonghwa’s Empty (my favvv) or Angel Baby, Wooyoung’s Etham, and Yunho’s voice really shines in his duo track Youth

I honestly have been waiting for you to do more ATEEZ reactions. I've always loved your reactions because they're thoughtful and calming so I always wanted you to spend more time learning about ATEEZ beyond their title tracks. That said, i'm a jjongpo and Jongho has done so much solo performance content some that even made the audience cry. Please check out his cover of So You on Immortal Songs, his solo cover Park Hyo Shin's Wild Flower, those are just some of his most recent and most powerful performances. Also, if you like vocals you can just look at ATEEZ "Special Clips" and you will find all the solo vocal performances of ATEEZ members. San is another amazing vocalist who did a solo cover. I believe Jongho's vocal coach is ONESTAR, who is (or was) also vocal coach for Chen! ONESTAR has a similar tone to Jongho, he also likes Bruno mars (has a really nice cover) and also had a song with Chen himself~ maybe this is relevant to know haha
