Actually the four youngests of SNSD (yuri, sooyoung, yoona and seohyun) are not only the maknae and tall line, they also the actress line and the university graduates line. The four of them studied acting/theater, sooyoung and yuri were classmates as well as seohyun and yoona, both pairs in different universities, both universities really well positioned in the Korean ranking

Yes, i struggled recognizing Suju at first too! If its difficult to tell yuri, seohyun, tifanny, yoona and sooyoung at first, its two times harder for me with Heechul,donghae, leeteuk,yesung & I think it was bc there are a lot of them when performing on stage.. and guides like this, or youtube back then is not as widely used and content packed as it is now.. What none of these videos show, except for that bit of ballet, is just how an amazing underrated dancer Yoona was and still is. She wasn't just the center for her looks. She's a natural dancer gifted with a ballerina's body and she is always incredibly on point. I think she's one of the reasons SNSD was so known for their synchronization, because she led from the front much of the time. ALSO, I luv that you luv Sunny and find it so funny that you say "Sunny" every time she pops up on screen. Truthfully all the girls have unique personalities and are amusing and funny in their ways. Even of one of the girls appear on a show they all know how to go with the flow and the basics of guesting on a variety show. The magic happens when you get them all together. That is when you get that crackhead energy. There some great videos of funny SNSD moments that may be worth checking out after you finish with the solo videos. Maknae Seo Hyun is probably the most serious out of the group. You have seen clips from an show called Intimate Note where the group is literally ragging/dissing each other the entire time. It is considered a classic SNSD variety guest performance. There you see Maknae Seo Hyun so straight face at her unnies questions that it just becomes comical in its own way 🤣

Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun are the self-proclaimed least funny members of the group but they had a whole reality for themselves and it was majorly entertaining. They do not all have exactly same kind of humor but every single one of them can stand on her own, so they are welcome guests on radio and TV, because whichever member you invite, you are getting a seasoned entertainer who knows how to deliver a punch and is a good sport taking one. But the real magic happens when they get together as a team. You can feel the empowerment and confidence they gain when they can play off the members they know well and trust to play along.

As a proud SM stan, I’m going to recommend you to watch Super Junior (Heechul, the one you thought was Yoona’s hairstylist, is in the group) as they are the brother group of SNSD. They have equally iconic songs (again, their older songs really reflect the music of their time, so you probably will enjoy their more recent stuff) and are considered to be the kings of kpop. Super Junior and SNSD together are unmatched when it comes to their influence on the kpop industry. They’re also extreme crackheads. Put them in a room together and you will have utter chaos. They’re basically all really close friends and consider themselves siblings to one another. During their prime years (2008-2013) they were unstoppable together as they were always supporting one another. They’re know as Super Generation. Some recommendations: - Sorry Sorry: 2009 (most iconic, groups are still covering this today, equivalent to Gee in terms of influence) - Devil: 2015 (released for their 10th anniversary, has a more retro vibe to it) - Lo Siento: 2017 (first collab with a Latin American singer, one of the first groups to experiment with Latin sounds)

If anyone within SNSD is the "serious" member I'd say it is Seohyun.... believe it or not. Maybe because she is the youngest member and the group "protects" her that she feels an obligation to "behave". But then, it IS SNSD and the members are all crazy around each other. You can't contain that sort of energy for long. I read somewhere that choreographers have a frustrating time with SNSD practices: SNSD will goof around for 70% of the time and then learn the moves *very* quickly. I imagine it would be like a romper room then get serious and knock out the work at the end of the day...

Ahhhhh Love YoonA, she's my bias!!! Her vocals are not the best, but she has a sweet voice. She, along with Taeyeon, received so much hate. YoonA specifically got hated for getting a lot of screentime and was told she couldnt sing and just a pretty face. However, imo, she's the kindest member. She's supportive of all her members and makes Taeyeon, the introvert, feel included in their shinanigans. She did start an instagram account a few months ago. Girls' Generation still have the closest bond for a nine girl group, despite what happened to Jessica. But that situation was the company's fault because the girls were forbidden to talk about her, talk to her, etc. So their relationship is probably not close anymore due to separate paths.

i personally think that they're all hilarious but Seohyun is a bit more refined and polished than the others. i always see her as someone who was raised to be a princess by her parents (no slouching, polite speaking, taking classes as a kid, simply very ladylike) so she talks less than the others in the earlier years of their career. she isn't as as loud as the others, so obviously we get less jokes from her. but as she grew older, she has turned be more talkative and better in expressing herself through her words and actions. but that's the thing, Seohyun is very funny when she doesn't even try to be funny, and yes, that's why she had never tried to 😂

Tiffany is the most business oriented one, but also really funny and hyper, Taeyeon is the quiet one, but also a goofball, Yoona is always very playful but she's also the most private member (tho she now has instagram and weibo, and recently a yt channel - she said on her bday last yr that maybe she has been too closed off from fans so shes trying to open up), Sooyoung is a savage, but also super involved in charity work and giving back, Seohyun is the most obviously goal oriented one, but even she is a bit on the quirky side, so on... Oh and if ur interested in checking out Yoona's work, her movie Exit is definetly a fun and light hearted one, w some action and without almost any romance at all (it's the 21st highest grossing film in sk, Parasite is the 19th for reference). I know some EXO members have master degrees (Chanyeol has master of design interior degree, don’t really know the other) also Xiumin and Changmin (he's from TVXQ) have doctorate degrees.
