Very interesting character and yes, more complicated than the rulers of the other realms, but once I realised that ALL those rulers including Denathrius started out as an empty vessel which the First Ones filled with a soul, I understood him a bit more and could see WHY he was the creator of the Nathrezim and why he had such a strong link with Zovaal. The Arbiter also was an empty vessel primed for a soul and I think that is why rhe Arbiter was quite weak. Pelagos offered a pure, untainted soul and will make a better, and stronger Arbiter. I hope we haven't seen the last of Denathrius though, he was a fun character to interact as were all of the Venthyr. It's still my favourite Realm of the Shadowlands. Thanks for the video! ❤

I think the nature of Dreadlords is not much different from humans. Mal'ganis sided with Death (Denathrius), Lothraxion sided with Light, while Tichondrius, Mephistroth, and Balnazzar sided with the Burning Legion.

Yes Mephistroth's name is also derived from Mephistopheles, the name given to the devil figure in the Faust Legend. Another derivative is Mephisto, the Father of Lilith and Lucion Grandfather of Rathma Uncle of Leah Lord of Hatred one of the Three Prime Evils Seven Great Evils and elder brother of Diablo from Blizzard Game Diablo. The name and such derivatives are often invoked to underly the sinister nature of the character in question.

You look at Denathrius and you wonder why in gods name everyone loves him. He is just do painfully generic and cliche, but then you look at the rest of the cast. they are simply cardboard cutouts with nameplates. of course people will gravitate towards the one character that exhibits any semblance of character.

Bwonsamdi has to physicly collect souls, and you forget Mue'zala worked with Denathrius and the Jailor. He was the actual loa of Death and Bwonsamdis boss until we delt with him and Bwonsamdi fully took over.

Sire Denathrius 1. The Emet-Selch of WOW. 2. The Sire of Revendreth is a Dreadlord and he helped create the Burning Legion solely to spread the seeds of Death. 3. The Eternal Ones were created by embuing strong souls into a powerful automa. 4. I wonder who Denathrius was before he was installed as the fire Sire of Revendreth (Was he a World Soul or something else). 5. It is unknown if Denathrius' true loyalty is not to Death but Shadow. There are theories that the Void Lords are the First Ones. 6. A majority of Dreadlords use Void Magic which is strange considering how they are the agents of Death. Possible Future Expansions 1. Light Expansion = FFXIV Shadowbringers 2. Void Expansion = FFXIV Endwalker

Yoshida team was litteraly forced to play wow to get "inspired" And last, the theme of light and void was there before endwalker or shawowbringer. it's impossible for WoW to be inspired by ff14,because ff14 itself is a copy/past/readapt of everything that worked well in wow

Mal'Ganis was never killed in the Twisting Nether. Therefore no matter how many times you kill him, he will always return. Perhaps you should read about the interaction of demon souls and death outside of the Twisting Nether :P
