Very nice looking guitar and the colors are amazing. 8 pounds is a really good for a LP unlike my Agile goldtop with p90's which is over 9 pounds. Great value in the Sire line!

I had a gold top L7V for a while. I really liked it and I thought it was a great value. For $641, you get a bone nut, ebony fretboard with rolled edges, satin finish on the neck, and fantastic fit and finish. I thought the gold color was a little pale and oddly tinted compared to Gibson’s. The pickups sounded good and were noise canceling in the middle position. Ultimately, I ended up selling it and going with a used Vintage V100GT, which I still have but swapped the P90’s for the Gibson mini humbuckers that I took out of the Gibson LP Deluxe that I bought a few months ago and basically converted to a P90 Standard, using Mojotone 56 Quiet Coil P90’s, which sound amazing. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend or buy another Sire, though. They are great guitars and are very affordable, which is why they are often hard to find in stock.

I thought the gold top looked a little off. It is my favorite color and if not done right it would irritate me about the guitar. The one I have with the tobacco burst is really well done and I suspect the ebony is fine. I have not tried the mojo quiet coils yet. I did recently install a set of the Seymour Duncans version and thought they were great. I really like the Sires. I had seen quite a few positive reviews raving about them and when I tried them out, I understood.

I have the standard L7 in the gold top. It’s amazing. I did wait a bit to find a lighter one (7lbs 13oz). Can’t say enough about how good it is. I’ll definitely be snagging one of these p90s at some point.

Very nice. That’s an impressive weight for a LP-style guitar. I’m mainly a “fender guy” these days but a LP with P90s is a special thing. As for Sire. I’d be more surprised if you didn’t love it. They clearly have earned a strong reputation. Focusing on neck quality from the outset was a clever strategy that’s helped them a lot. You own 12 Gibsons! Holy moly. I’m scared to ask how many axes you have in total! Good for you.

It changes all the time. I think right now it is just over 100.

@@guitarcollectorguyGeez! I have 8 Gibsons and 28 total, and my wife thinks it’s too many. Thanks for giving me proof that I don’t have as bad of a problem as she thinks! 😂

@@JAL-cc8jd what I bad is I am moving shortly and my wife will be standing there watching all of them being loaded up. She actually knows, but seeing is something different.
