Hi Tim! I mean........what to say: Im 59 with a weakened left hand, but I have discovered that lowering tuning ,I play a whale octave down or nowadays F( My strats suddenly gangad up on me after a playing pause of one week or so by tuning themselves up to F, and quite exact with the tuner check! almost spooky, but I always listen to me AND to my guitars: I have tweaked them over time so much they seem to know where Im goin..., ha!), Im wearing Daddario/Dunlops 9-11-15-22-30-42, and just yesterday grabbed one strat( I got 6 Yamaha Pacifica 112Vs..), and the action was very low, and easy for my left hand to cope! I love having 6 of the same model guitar to really know them, and of course theyre all individuals anyways, so there! I know you have hand/finger probs as well, and in this vid I especially admire your dreamy light sensitive touch! Thanks Mister Timothy, and a Merry Christmas to You and Family! love, K

Great to hear somebody just play one of these guitars. Super tasty, as usual, Tim. Tired of seeing youtubers get the micrometers out and marvel at the stainless-steel frets, etc. Larry Carlton's endorsement is quite convincing. But hearing a guitar in its natural habitat makes a serious impression.

I bright the Sire T7TV Thin Line Telecaster basically the same guitar but only with the traditional two single coils.... Love it. AND it's light 6.6lbs. Beautiful finish, locking tuners, bone nut and oh those rolled fretboard edges. Lovely demo Tim !

Hey Tim,…just found you,..looking forward to hearing more ,…love the way you patiently waited for all the right times and not trying to cram as much as possible into the space…phrasing is just as important as the notes. Excellent !

I would love to hear your comparison of this Sire to the new Fender Tele Player II. Yes, I am aware that there are differences in the pups and bodies. Still, Sire appears to be positioning itself as a formidable competitor in the under $1K Tele market.

Beautiful playing as always, Tim! I was intrigued about this model when it came out, but I went with the L7V for now (goldtop Les Paul shape with P90s) and instantly fell in love. I’ve owned the Sire H7 (ES335 shape) for 3 years as well and to me it plays as well as any Gibson. Looking forward to hearing your in-depth take on how Sire did with this one!

You create such beautiful tones! I love the resonance of a good thinline tele, and P90’s can be a good complement. I’m less sold on the bridge pickup on this one, though. You mellow it out nicely, but it still sounds a bit nasal to me. I wonder what it would sound like with a tele pickup in an ashtray bridge?

Tim, maybe someday you will record a CD of country tunes with someone like Guthrie Trapp. He would do the pure country licks with you adding jazz perspective. Much like the recordings that Joe Pass did with Roy Clark.
